It is VERY sad when no one can really fiqure out which skills are needed to reseach hybrid and projectile weapons. Researching Lasers and Rockets/Missles is pretty easy and self explanatory in the skill name.
Take blasters for instance, to you need the electromagnetic skill, the high energy skill, the plasma skill or the Quantum skill??????????
I mean if you read the description for blasters any one of those skills whould work.
FIX THE DESCRIPTIONS TO ACTUALLY SAY THE RANGE OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY THAT THE SKILL IS USED FOR!!!!!
Thank you in advance for doing these changes :)

If they give every detail you wish for , the would be no need to experiment and take a chance. Some agents would never be used and others will be abused. Posting every detail and removing the experimentation and guesswork would be very bad and lead to a boring experience overall. I do love reading posts which include the phrase "how much longer til i am GIVEN a bp . . . ."

Your Mega Afocal Pulse Maser I perfectly strikes Asteroid (Veldspar) [R0ME], wrecking for 798.3 damage.
Your 425mm Railgun I perfectly strikes Guardian Captain, wrecking for 685.9 damage.

Blasters are the plasma skill, railguns are the electromagnetic skill, fyi.
Quantum skill? I don't know, perhaps for CPUs. ------

I thought graviton physics was for rails as it gets a racial bonus.
Also on the point of fixing the skill descriptions, i agree, most people are too far into their research to scap it and start again. So i see no reason not to have the correct descriptions. It does seem a bit pointless as every skill says:
"Skill and knowledge of <insert skill name here> and its use in the development of advanced technology . Allows <insert skill name here> research to be performed with the help of a research agent. It is also needed for all research and manufacturing operations on related blueprints."

Krashtest let me get this straight:
So EVERY other skill, BP, and item in the game can have a description of what it is used for and does in detail EXCEPT for the new science skills????
Ahh how does that make sense?????
FYI each skill is for a range of items it is researched for.
I mean how many people would make and use missiles, for instance, if no one knew which BP's and skills were need for torps, cruise missiles etc.???
They need to list what RANGE of items, not everyone they can be used for.

Why should it make sense and easy to figure out for? This is eve, where the learning curve is a granite mountain. ____________________________________ Taggart wants YOU. Join TTi! *waves his hand in your face in the jedi way* |

Plamsa = Blaster Graviton = Rail Nuclear = Projectile Laser = Lasers
And if you actually spend some time at the dictionary, and the eve-db search engine, you can pretty much figure out what the rest do.

Graviton I though was for caldari sensors, electromagnetic makes more sense for rails, as railguns are electromagnetic devices.

Hmm... Why 2 skills for hybrid weapons and only one each for projectile and lasers?
[edit - Probobly the same reason there are 2 races with hybrid as their primary weapon skill I gues...]

I tryed that, didn't work. Mabye it's just me being st0pid or something... Any way, could you please elaborate a bit as to how you go about to find out what kind fo equipment is connected to what reseach field? |

The point is not that i can research outside of the game for whatthey do. The point is that the desriptions should be more specific as EVERY OTHER skill and item in that game is atm.
