Hi All,
In a few days a new computer arrives. It's got 4gb of Memory, a mid range new Nvidia 8600 gts card and a 64 bit Intel processor. So xp x64 is pretty much required to make full use of the system when I'm at work. I can install both X64 and x32 versions of XP however I would rather not. So I ask the community: Can I run EVE as a 32 bit process using the August 2007 DirectX x64 install on XP and use both my accounts (E.g. two instances running as 32bt processes) and get a decent frame rate?
and Before you ask -- NO Vista of any form is not an option right now due to a serious lack of drivers for several professional grade key components I do not wish to rebuy just now as each will cost upwards of US$400 to replace with supported components).
TIA

I'm running Windows XP 64 bit OS and have no problem running two accounts on the same comp. I also have 4Gbs of ram as well and have dual video cards with a total of 2Gbs of Video ram, by useing SLI. So with that saying, as long as your video card is up to power, you shouldn't have any issues. Because before I upgraded to the dual 1 Gb cards, I was running dual 256 Gb cards and it did fine. <~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> The Stoned Hippies Corporation In Game Channel "#420"

Thanks! This is just the information I was looking for (Although I only have a single Video card). I appreciate it!

Hi All,
As a follow up, I got two instances of EVE installed on a X64 (Dell xps 410) running quite well.

Edited by: SublightNova on 21/08/2007 09:36:27 Last friday I built my new right with an Asus P5k, Quad core Q6600, 4 gigs of 6400 DDR2 ram, eVGA 8800 GTX ACS3 and EVE is running VERY Well... On XP 64-bit of course... actually I haven't had a game that doesn't run well.
That is aside from the regular connection drops and such......
