The dev blog on the upcoming alliance tournament (end of this month?? I forgot, but it's in the blog)states that the tournement will be in rev 2.2.

whats the alt ascii combination for the TM addition to soon?
you know, like T G S : those kinds of alt combinations.
also, what does QFT mean, and IBTL ? ibtl: in before thread lock???

Rev 2.2 will come when CCP have finished their testing and ensured that it will:
1. Add sufficient new incentives to blob
2. Not threaten the 'I-Win' button of the lag-blob
3. Increase the number of mind-numbingly boring structures/services to shoot
4. Not solve any of the most serious problems faced by players
Sorry for being sceptical, but this seem to be what has happened for the last few updates.... Why should this one be different???
I've wondered for 6+ months now whether they actually play their own game and make changes based on how things ARE, or just have this theoretical ideal for how they think EVE should be that they use instead...

Currently I would expect Rev 2.2 on tuesday the 28th of august. But I wouldn¦t be surprised if they have to delay it for one or two weeks.

It will happen sometime between 13th and 23rd September. I know this for a 'fact' as every major patch thus far has occurred while I've been away from home, and only able to connect through my smartphone - thus unable to download the patch due to download restrictions. Since I am away from home between 13th and 23rd, this is definitely, 100% when they will release the patch ;-)
