This short video shows how the newest friend to our corporation handles a probe launcher, and reveals the likely result of future events with that individual.
He was in the Drake, my corpmates were in a Vagabond and Megathron Navy Issue, and I was in the Myrmidon.

Yeah everyone got away. But the drake warped in and bumped the Mega out of warp.. it was dicey. After checking the tower, there was no disruptor or webifier.
Man, it was tense. So was the next 20 minutes afterwards. _________________ Burn. |

EDIT: Might be an idea to turn off effects and sound.

Incidentally, I just realized that this is the very same POS in Murethand that I warped to with my covops yesterday...
A gang member reported a brutix on its own at a safespot. He had it on a 5 degree scan with no towers showing. I instantly deployed probes in the area, got a warp to 0 and warped in at distance to check it out. Brutix was at the POS and I landed on the rim of the shield and between some structures. Had to mwd out, cloak and warp like a mutha - but I made it out fine.
Something odd is up with that POS though.

Epic failure at using directional scanner. Takes 15 seconds to get someone to 5 degrees, then uncheck 'use overview settings', "oh look, it's a control tower, forcefield, etc".
Also you shoud've sent a cloaker in first once you got the result - to get tactical optimal warp-in points (and obviously to confirm it's not at a POS!), rather than the whole gang warping in straight away.

Epic failure at reading above?
The point is that directional scanning for that Brutix at a 5 degree produces no sort of tower on the dir. scan, which means ppl warp to it. The fact that both our gangs experienced that in 24 hrs with the same POS seems... well.. coincidential?

I love how you guys are thinking your so hardcore ganking a lone brutix with multiple ships any one of which could have killed it and are like "yeah that brutix is gonna eat it" then start crapping your pants when your not gonna get an easy kill.

Your brilliance with the scanner and probes is matched only by your FCs extreme calm under pressure.
If I was flying with you guys after that incident I would seriously consider switching to a PvP corp with some scanning experience and a few disciplined and calm FCs.
I mean, warping to a POS is sometimes an honest mistake brought on by drugs or lack of sleep, but seriously...do you HAVE to freak your men out by completely breaking down into "RETREAT OMG WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE! RUN AWAY! *explicative explicative*"
A simple, "Hey our covops screwed up and we landed at a POS. All those not in warp cancel immediatly and everyone in warp get out as soon as possible" -then silence for pilots to report their safe/not safe status-
Maybe even a rendezvous point would be good too "Everyone warp to member X after you drop out of warp".

In my own defense, and the defense of my mates,
This was totally silly. It was hilarious, to be honest, because first, we didn't have a covops. We had a Drake scanning. He's new, so we gave him a shot.
Second, my "calmness" is roused by knowing we're flying with a few billion isk of ship (t2 rigs, navy mega, etc). Knowing that we were all already in warp, I needed to raise everybody's ability to react quickly. Also, my mic was breaking so yelling is sometimes necessary.
Here is a video of your FC being composed:
Video 1 (AVI XVID Format)
and right after, another:
Video 2 (AVI XVID Format)
We have a couple guys (including the guy who wants the killmail so badly) that are rather new at actually PVPing. They get the whip afterwards though, when I'm usually telling them vent discipline means only one person has the floor at a time.
Good stuff though, we're just out finding what we can in lowsec. _________________ Burn. |

Well props for getting a group together and actually getting out there. I would suggest a proper covops pilot or at least an alt, and some damage dealers to go with that nos and ECM.

Thanks.
We're working on it, recruitment is difficult. I just reposted a new recruitment thread, and we're being patient as we grow. Nothing in EVE happens overnight. Finally, the damage dealer thing is something we struggle with, due to a mixture of capable pilots getting in ships such as things to prevent others from taking damage (say me in a Celestis).
So yeah. :( We're trying. _________________ Burn. |
