So yesterday I was travelling in empire space and I got targetted by this pirate named The Drip. He failed to kill my Rifter. So, I went and got my BB set up to jam Ammar. I went back to the system and sure enough he targetted me and shot twice. By that time I target jammed him and started launching Cruise Missiles at him ... when i was at 17km he MWD'd away from me and then warped to a hiding spot. It was hysterical ... made the evening interesting to say the least ...

FoF missiles and drones. Or he could activate his shield/armor tank stuff and watch the blackbird waste ammo

no i didnt expect to be able to lock him down ... i only had 3 white noise generators on the BB ... Who pirates at a gate by themselves without ECCM?

Theyre not lookin for a real fight, theyre lookin to gank indies / cruisers etc etc for loot, so ECCM isnt needed.

exactly, he was surely not concerned with just a little old BB. But how did he know you didn't have friends nearby that could actually cause him some real harm? He's no idiot.

Which must mean you'll never fight a 1vs1 fight, there's always the possibility that your enemy brings a few friends, target jammed or not.

Ahhh.... memories. Noobs in a BS just **** me off. A few months back I went to Kamela and saw an guy in an Apoc. I was 50.50 on attacking him alone in my Blackbird, but then he mouthed off to me in local. So I fitted 4 White Noise jammers and came on back....

Take a look at the time stamps. He made the 'breakfast' comment right before I warped in on him. Two minutes later, he was down to about half armor damage and I lost the range on my scrambler and he got away.
No hardeners. No ECCM. No drones. No FoF missiles. Hopefully this guy has upgraded since then.

The thought of a bs running around with no hardners, fof's or at the very least drones its something which quite frankly leaves me doubting peoples intension of trying to keep their ships :) |

Its funny to scare off a BS with a little ship, be a BB or not.
Rule #1 never underestimate a BB.
Rule #2 um ya refer to rule #1.
I made Jeebs who was manning an Apoc run scared from me while I was in a Vigil.
Smart move on his accord. Pi$$ed of bounty hunters were on only a jump away awaiting the report.
But still funny that a BS run tail when a frigate warped in on him.

Before they changed MWDs... You, Eri and I dancing aroudn the gate, outrunning FoFs while sending a stream of torps at you... That was so much fun!
