I'm just curious. I'm 39 and my entire corp are all twenty-somethings. They are a great bunch that help keep me a little younger and show me daily how many brain cells I've lost over the years and I wouldn't trade them for anyone else in EVE, however, I'm wondering if there are many other "older" rookie pilots in EVE. I also am part of a pirate corp. How many "older" PvPers are there out here?

LOL, "old" was once defined to me as anyone 15+ years older than you currently are.
With that in mind every year I become "old" to more people. 
BTW, I'm 31, and I haven't even admitted that there is a "hill" to "be over".

I'm young myself but i've met quite some 'older' players in my eve life, in fact i've found some of the most active forum posters to be 50+. :) I know of someone who was 79 a few months ago. This topic comes up every now and then, you'll find a lot of successful pvpers, alliance leaders to be 40+ (SirMolle being one of them, just an example).

That depemds. If 40 is old then that would be me. I till have 10 days left on my trial acct. So, I guess that makes me a rookie as well.

Personally I believe a lot of how "old" you are is about state of mind and attitude  . Why I put "old" in quotes. And thank you for confirming I'm not alone. 40...man...that's ancient . Encourage you to stick around btw. Fantastic game.

I have found that a large majority of the people who stick with EVE tend to be in their late 20's to early 30's.

I was born in 1957 so that makes me....old yeah, that's what I am.  I play with my Grandsons and we are mentally about the same age.

Well, I do stupid things all the time that only noobs supposedly do but I blame that on beer.

i'm in my 20s and most people i have met were in 18-35ish range but there were also some who said they are past 40 and even in their 60s ... quite a few EVE players say they are retired, so I'm assuming that means they are in their 50s and 60s ... and there are some 12-14 year olds too

I've been playing for quite some time so I'm not a noob ... but I am 44 in RL.
I just wish we had stuff like Eve when I was in my teens ... come to think of it, I wish we had computers!

47 for me, in my alliance we did a little survey of the people on line a day we were bored, ages where:
57, 47, 42, 40 35, 30, 25, 21
so you are an bit in the high end age section of the players, but by far not the oldest.

There was a survey of Eve players, and IIRC the age average was 27 (and 95%-ish male)

im 39 and lovin this game, ive been playin online games since they become popular, ive played star wars galaxies since beta and i did then same with this game too, on and off but only have i put all my effect into this game now.
ive played many games and love this one as much as RL lol, its the ppl and the way its played more than that.

Nice to hear from so many "older" folks that love the game. Based on my limited experience with MMOs it seems well designed for us and it shouldn't surprise me that there are quite a few thirty-somethings and "older" enjoying it. It's also cool to see so many younger folks. EVE, imo, is one of (if not THE) "smartest" MMO out there...kudos to you guys for finding it and playing.

38 here, and a "veteran" of computer and online games since my vic20/c-64 days. EVE is a lot of fun so far, and I think the age bracket that it attracts helps keep the community relatively mature, but still vibrant. And actual age is one thing, but how you feel on the inside about games is another (which makes me like 22 or so ).

btw my dad is like 56 and he play StarCraft+BW :\ thats still playing a video game.
