Last night, after completing the ship and pilot orientation, I started an agent mission. The mission journal icon lit up. Showing 2 certified papers for delivery. I depart station. I managed to locate the destination;
"PenirgmanV-Moon3-Ishkane Corp. Factory. I arrive and dock station. The station information shows that I'm in the right station.
I talk to the Agent who gave me the assignment. He tells me I'm to deliver the papers to Pen..V-Moon3-Ishkane Corp. Factory..
I must have docked and redocked.. several times. I even warped to another moon and other places then redocked.
I'm totally lost here.. how do you deliver these documents? Am I supposed to drag these papers to some icon or folder in the station?

The papers must both be in either your cargo hold or on the hangar floor. They must not be in a cargo container and make sure they are stacked. If that doesn't work, send in a petition via the F12 menu.

Did you remember to pick the papers up from the hangar floor at the starting position?

I think I see the problem. This is really stupid so I'll just say it.
Where on the game screen do I pickup the papers? You mentoned hanger floor.. do they drop under the ship..or is it an icon.. I saw the message from the agent saying hanger floor but I didn't see any papers.
Feel free to laugh here but literally I have no idea about how to pick up papers off the hanger floor.

Alright, depends on your setup. If your items and ships are merged to the station UI, then go to the tabs on the right and open items. If not, then there is an items and ships icon on the left side of your screen in dock at the bottom.
There, open the items window and the papers should be there. Then transfer the items to your ship. This can be done by right clicking either on your ship or ship icon in the ships window and selecting Open Cargohold. Then drag the papers from the hangar to your ship. If the papers are not at the agent station, then open your assests menu and see where they are located. Once you move the papers to the station, you can either leave them in your cargohold, or move them to your items window in dock, but they must be stacked and all together for it to work, hope that helps.

Don't feel bad. When I was doing the missions, I spent 30 minutes or so looking for the documents before I found them.
