I'm Minmatar and love to PVP. So far I have sticked to Rifter even though I have plenty of money to buy better ship. I want to max my skills before jumping to new ship type. Here comes the problem. I'm not sure which ship type I should aim. Can anyone recommend and give goods & bads for each types.
One what I think I could aim is Interceptor (probably Stiletto). But can lonely interceptor take targets or am I tied to fleet combat and a tackler role?
I'm in corp and joining PVP fleets, but I'm also doing missions and sometimes go to lowsec just to find lonely pirates.

wolf is a mean little ship that can lay a world of hurt.
minny interceptors, claw can be a good ship for solo 1vs1 ceptors with sskill. and stilleto is great for tackling, mwd, warp disrutpor, web(or cap recharger II) and asensor booster
Sabre is bad arse, best dictor hands down
also Vagabond is a good for solo and gangs =] fast, decent damage, easy to avoid not so nice odds =] Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed dimensions of 400x120 pixels and filesize of 24000 bytes -Forum Moderator ([email protected]) |

Edited by: Cpt Branko on 20/08/2007 09:20:43 The jaguar is also very nice. However, it's still a (T2) frig, meaning, while it can take on a lot of AFs and have a try at killing inties, it's still going to die to a well-setup PvP cruiser. A PvP cruiser would put you on a equal footing with them, and i see a lot of cruisers (and BCs) in low-sec.
Maybe an inty with good skills could do something, but minmatar inties are just too ugly.
The wolf annoys me with the lousy CPU (hard to fit) and a 5/2/4 slot layout (meaning, no web. and it's not exactly fast to start with). Oh, it's also a bit heavier (therefore, less agile) then the Jaguar, although they're both kindof sluggish.

Train med autos to lvl 5 and get barrage. Then you have the choices of rupture, stabber, cyclone and hurricane, which are really nice pvp ships. If you dont have alot of skills yet, I would reccomend rupture or hurricane since they deal alot of dmg, and are relatively easy to pilot elgmosk. |

I have had fun flying the Stiletto. It is perfectly capable of taking out most any solo T1 or T2 frig (be wary of missile boats), but it can take a very LONG time. Watch out for unfriendly reinforcements. Against anything larger than a frig, I do not believe you will have the dps to take it out in a stiletto.
Off the top of my head (prolly get something wrong here): HIs t2 neut whatever weapons do most damage (must have high tracking speed) MEDs gisti A type AB t2 warp scram t2 web t2 cap recharge LOWs overdrive injector agility local hull modification (can't remember name)
With this setup, MWD does not work well for solo work. In order to break an active tank, you will need to be monitoring your cap, and turn off the neut as necessary to ensure none of the other mods go offline and allow target to escape. Orbit target at max speed near the extreme range of whichever equip has shortest max range (5-6km I think). Perhaps switch out web for dampener, but that would mean more stuff gets away.

Stabber is the next step for a Minmatar pilot.
Focus on nav and gunnery skills.
Work on your ability to manually fly the ship.
Once you have the Stabber pimped out and can fly the pants off it start in on the Jaguar.
Jag shouldn't take long to figure out as you will already have good skills for it because of the rifter.
From the Jaguar move onto a Vaga.
Vaga is badass. Get Min Cruiser 5, HAC 5, Med Autocannon spec 4, nav skills to 5 and tons in shield skills.
From a Vaga move onto a Sleipnir.
This will take a long time because of the BC 5, CS 5 and Leadership skills but its worth it.
