I just read a setup thread and someone was explaining what a tracking PC was, and i noticed this word "ACTIVE". Holy moly! I have had many of these on my ships that have been sniping and now i find out they are active! GAHHHH

Some mistakes you aren't supposed to admit to, this would be one of them. ------------------------------------- You are all worthless, and weak.

I too made similar mistakes in the past - the best way to avoid this type of issue is to use the functionality which hides Passive modules from view - this eliminates clutter and only leaves the modules which you can do something about visible on screen

Sheesh, do you people not check the attributes of a module before using it? How did you not notice the cap usage and cycle time?! And fair enough you may not have noticed the tracking speed change (or lack thereof) but didn't you notice that the range stayed the same?
Oh well, we all make mistakes eh? -

This is why I use the "Hide passive modules" and then just click everything until my entire ship is a damn blinking green lights unit.

A good reason to hide passive modules when in space.

They used to be active.
They also used to be midslot items.
Then again, so did armor repairers.

I've kept in mind that it's easier to split the passive modules from the active modules. There is no reason that I can find to not have them seen in the interface, provided they are is at least one empty spot between them. Then I order the active modules in the order I use them. (Shield Booster, Afterburner, Repair Modules).
