Think about it this way: when they get around to releasing level 4 agents, then one'll have plenty of battleship and cruiser group kill missions.

Think about it this way, there's so many easy lvl 3 missions and zor is so rare, that if it's too hard for you and you decline it's no big deal on your standing. If on the other hand lvl 3 missions are too easy for you then Damsel in Distress is probably the only set of missions that you ever even want to get.

I personally don't do agent mission, but a lvl 3 agent is pretty high, so I think you should leave it in. the reward should accuratly reflect the danger thou. - Ka Dargo. [ 2005.04.10 14:41:05 ] Your 425mm Railgun II perfectly strikes Dread Pith Massacrer, wrecking for 1271.6 damage.

Yes leave him. Those that dont want the mission can always say no. Remove him and there is no choice.

Keep Zor, but upgrade him to lvl4 agents.
I see it as:
lvl1 = rookieship / frigate lvl2 = frigate/cruiser lvl3 = cruiser/bs lvl4 = bs/more bs?

Edited by: Phaethon on 06/02/2004 17:37:45 You can take Zor out as soon as lvl4 agents are introduced. Not a second earlier.
Zor was my first mission after the hotfix. Warped in @ 15km thinking "yet another damsel mission" "lemme' see , cruiser, cruiser cruiser, doable in my vexor." "hmmmm that ain't no 6k The Thief"
Let's just say I was quite glad I run missions with 2 mwd's for speed as i had a tail of cruise after me when i warped out at around 120 km out
Never got to kill Zor because then the gates went belly up, as I was on my way to go get my BS. Should I petition to get the mission back? :)

Well Ive lost a cruiser to Zor cause me my dumb self didnt think a mission from a mining agent that from time to time wants Veldspar delivered would ask me to kill a BS pirate in 0.8 space... Was quite surprised really...
No I dont think they should remove Zor but they SHOULD make him lvl 4 since thats what the lvl 4 missions were supposed to be right ? I read somewhere that lvl 4 agents would be more for corps and less for solo players. Zor is definently not a solo deal...

I took out zor in my raven without losing any armor. For anybody in a battleship he is a challenge but not impossible. For a crusier i suggest you have 3+ to tackle this beast. Leave him in for the love of eve

Edited by: SUNscatcher on 08/02/2004 02:47:26 Another poorly planned mission by ccp. Take the ****in mission out cause it doesn't belong in. A BS mission without any warning when the strongest foe to date is a whimpy 85K rat. Another example of the anal fixation the developers have with always acting as *******s.
Yes i did lose my BS to this guy but only because in this mission warp scrambling can mysteriously transfer from one ship to another and who knows what the dam range is. No i did not have MWD on and was not able to get 120km away to warp to safety.
****ed that ccp threw a BS rat in, not really I know how immature they are. ****ed about this ****in game not working as it is susposed to and the ccp saying oh well there is nothing we can do. YES most definitely, yes the ****in losers. If you can catch me you can have me. |

Leave him in, just stick a warning on that mission. After all you might get him once a week if you're lucky (or unlucky depending on whether you want him or not). You only have a small chance of getting the 'kidnapped daughter' mission, and even then youve a one in seven chance of getting Zor assuming that each one of the 'seven' have an equal chance of being the baddy.
Leave him in till you open up level 4. It give the more experienced pilots something more challenging.
I'd rather you concentrate on fixing the level 3 scenario mission. Fighting a few low level frigates is somewhat less than challenging. From memory one of the devs said that they would be fixed early in the new year, and as its coming up to the middle of February I'd kinda like to see some movement on it.

The Zor mission is clearly designed for level 4/5 Agents. There is nothing wrong with the mission per se, except it's extremely difficult/impossible for anyone who does not own a battleship.
I would just take this mission out, for now. And reintroduce it when better agents are available. ------

Why take him out. You can always say no. In a BS with the correct setup you can come out of spanking Zor with half your shields left (and thats without using a shield booster).
Its simple if you see the Zor mission and you dont have a BS or mates to help dont do it. If you have a BS and are confident solo and/or have mates give it a go.
Like I said if you remove him ppl that want to do the mission dont get a choice. If you dont remove you can always say no and ppl that want to give it a ***** can. (why is c.r.a.c.k blocked ? )
I dont understand the "I cant do it so nobody should" mind set.

I did Zor solo this morning and it was very easy for me in my battleship. That's not the point really.
Point is there are level 4/5 agents that will be introduced at some time and perhaps missions of this type are meant for higher level agents.
Honestly I don't care if Zor is left in or out, I just think CCP had a lack of forsight and this mission is just too difficult for level 3.
CCP is probably thinking, oh this should be level 4 and players can only access level 3 agents right now, and therefore lack forsight into what CCP has planned down the road. ------

I don't care that its a battleship, I am ****ed that after killing the rats that had me warp scrambled I still couldn't initiate warp. Then to further **** me off after clearing the 20K scramble limit I still couldn't initiate warp. Thats crap!! And for those that say I've been warp scrambled from much further away, well I've gotten the message that rat x was trying to warp scramble me from 75KM away. I wasn't scrambled though. And yes I checked my messages after to see IF possibly I had missed Zor scrambling me and nope it wasn't there. Just his sidekicks which I had dispatched.
If ccp is gonna let the rats have super powers we have a right to know ahead of time. I don't think they do its just and excuse for the game STILL not operating the way it should.
Oh I know instead of FIXING the bugs lets go spend months tweaking on the guns again. Brillant!!!

It would be nice if number one of the seven was a level five mission, and this one were beefed up a little and made level four, with possibly the third of seven being a two or three cruiser spawn at level three (multiple high level cruisers are lacking at the moment).
They feel like scenario sequences, where you work your way slowly up through the ranks, which is nice. Or maybe my dice rolls have been very linear.

See the mission forum re the actual wording but Papa Smurf has confimed that Zor is definitely going. However he also said that they are going to bring in the level 4 agents now instead. 'Now' being a relative term, of course :-) but probably sooner than soon(tm).

Edited by: The End on 09/02/2004 14:11:19 a corpmate of mine took zor out easily. he has little comabt skills.
im tired of these frigate lv 3 missions. cruisers are too easy as well.
The Battleships are fun.
before you guys in cruisers that accept a mission. look at the mission info and look for the name of who you have to kill. get help if you see it neccessary or just decline the mission and move on.
we need more missions like zor.
