So you can implement items into test server with out effecting TQ. So how about like an implant that will increase all attributes to surreal amount (80+ to all) for faster training times? maybe even % increase in training time skill, or something simple like that. ---- ALL YOUR LOOTZ ARE BELONG TO US! |

No, it's not a cool idea.
Reason 1: If everyone get that, then everyone will be in a Titan within 2-3 weeks, and the test server is not meant to have all skill trained fastest possible. I don't want to see 1 month old noob in a Titan on sisi.
Reason 2: Skills is meant to be tested to on sisi, even when it takes times.
And this have been discussed 1000 times earlier, and it wont happen, EVER.

More on aserious note, he's right. In some situations I'd like it, but tbh I even think people will pay only to play on SiSi cause TQ is too hard lol. Maybe they could introduce a free xxx amount of skillpoints what you can devide into skills. The amount is calculated on the amount of SP you already have. Only once a mirror. So people can quickly test a few things what they might be able to fly soon on TQ and n00bs wont be able to be in super cap ships right away. And the xxx amount for 10M SP wont even be 1M SP extra, maybe 500K max.
But IMO, it's not needed. But it would be nice sometimes but shouldnt become overpowered. I still dont see it happen though.

Yes, because it takes 2 weeks to build a titan . I sure hope everyone has a ton of cyno alts to move around...LOL. -----------------

I like this idea... even if it's only +20 or something, to cut training time in half. |

I support anything that makes skill training faster on sisi than it is today...
30+ days just to get an inventor alt up-to-speed is annoying.

Edited by: Victor Forge on 21/08/2007 07:52:46 The more that is able to test new advanced ships the better, just look at assualt frigattes, when those were up for testing first time how many actually had skills for those? If those were taking out of game right now the "gap" would be quickly filled by cheap destroyers as anti frigattes and the much faster Interceptors in the role as tacklers.
And how many in test realm has skills to try out blockade runners?
Right now there are lots of complaints that they really donŠt deserve their name. Obviously they have to be tested but where is the players that can give that feedback? No one will spend lots of time to train on a ship in TQ just to try it out in SiSi since he will hardly use it TQ.
In rank 4 combat missions it is almost a must to have a battleship, a rank 4 trade mission it requires you to have a industrial ship worth 500k isk =p. One could think those missions would need blockade runners to make the skill / isk input to be able to do those missions a bit more compareable.

I think this is a great idea. Have attributes supercharged so you can train towards something quickly.
To stop ppl from training titans etc, the skills database should be reset every week to TQ skills (eg Mondays). If you want to get into a test ship, then log in to Sisi after Monday, start your skill training schedule, then by weeks end you will have your skills ready to use.
If you are already 80% (or whatever) of the way to a Titan then by weeks end you will have it. If you are not, then you are going to need to train skills on TQ so they are ready for Sisi.
Next week you are back to your TQ skills again. This way not everyone will have Titans on Sisi and therefore spoil the test server.

a titan takes 8 weeks to vuild,so it deosnt matter if they can use it,they still gotta get 1 =P.and that idea about em resetting the skills to tq every week is good, but it should b like every moth or w/e

I think they should give you a couple of milion sp that instant train.
so you can check some new content with the support skills.
ie. I have a bit of missile skills and amarr cruiser 3 now they are working on khanid mk2 and nos changes for testing it would help if I could get like 2.5m sp or something to get amarr t2 cruisers (already got gallente) and t2 heavy assault missile launchers that way I can test the new content.
I don't think giving people the ability to get like max sp in a matter of weeks is a good idea. I mean testing a race where some ships are changed is a good idea if you already got a clue about flying those ships from other races. because then you know for instance what is to weak or to strong for a hac compared to other races.
but if you give people just max sp without having it on tq, then everyone will just train 4 races cariers and only fly them instead of testing real combat. or the ships that are actually new so should be important to test.

Think if they want a ship tested they should give everyone that logs in all the skills required to fly it and fit it well, thus the largest possible number of people can try that ship out and u will then get a much better test of said ship. Once ccp have there feedback they can then remove the skill points they gave out until a new ship or skill or mechanic needs testing. That would be a good way to go imo

This exact situation occurred when Ship Modifications came out. Everyone was initially given the skills for building and using them, and then later updated with TQ skills.
But this only is good for new ships or items wanting to be tested by CCP. What I have found is that I start training on Sisi for some ship I MIGHT want into the future, and part way through they update the Sisi server (with TQ skills) and I lose all this training. I have given up. Please allow for faster training. Sisi is a Test Server and its present setup doesnt allow for this.

That is what they are going to do with the rorqual(sp?) and is what they have done with almost everything - thermodynamics, and rigs as you have mentioned.
As you have, I have trained some ships up on sisi, or cybernetics, to test pirate implants ( ) and then I also have trained, right now, on the test server, cruiser missiles, to see if a cruiser missile on amarr battleships is a worthwile investment of Sp, along with stealth bombers. and oh yea, hey nex!
And cloaks... And I thought about training up command ships before I get one on TQ, but it will take too long to get into one on sisi. So I did not. (besides, I would take at least a week to pick a good fit for pvp, and pve...
And yes, a hardwiring that gives +50 to attributes, (or +50 implants, need a full set for full effect) (but no pirate implants... darn ) Anyhow.

If this were to happen it would prolly be easier to make all skills rank 1, so it would only take around 4 days to lv5 it.

It would certainly get more people on the server, but probably not a whole lot of actual 'bughunting' much like what occurs on the WoW test servers with maxed out premade chars.

Well, a much bigger problem is, that the Rorqual isnŠt even available for testing on Sisi. There are several new concepts (specially the production-lines) with it and IŠm pretty sure, that there are still bugs present. So please seed the rorqual with all modules and skills on Sisi!
