just a quick check but, didn't the forums used to be where discussion of the game took place? Seems that in the last year it has disintegrated into a non-stop slanging match instead.

I've been lurking in the forums for the last week or so, and not once have I seen anyone provide any examples or evidence for a point of view - it all revolves around "lol stfu noob - I lov ur tearz" or "DIAF!" or "I hate this thing wot you lieke, so I hate you k?" It's hopeless and totally unhelpful at a time when the DEV's are clearly trying to find a new way forward.

Honestly, if any of you actually enjoyed the game you'd be coming up with a way to help those with questions rather than insulting them. If you really thought you had a better way of doing things you'd be in features and discussions or the CSM area, rather than here saying one-liners like "I h8's local/cloaky/allianzes/blobz dev rsponse pls nw k tnks".

Whatever, I hope this all works out as there is simply no other game out there like EvE. But's it's dying of a thousand small cuts at the moment and the playerbase - at lease that portion represented on these forums - seem to me to be of zero help to anyone, and in some cases appear to have an account purely to troll other players.

Meh. Best of luck - I'll be paying my sub to fly in spaceships and keeping my fingers crossed.

What happened?

That an emergent game for 30k subscriptions went more mainstream and got 10 times as many.

The more mainstream and aged a game gets, the more the baddies, trolls and other human garbage infect it.

I like to refer to them as the clueless or the phallically-challenged.

One of my favorite replies here is "grow-up." I get that often when I post an idea.

People don't like it when you are to lazy to do 5 minutes of your own research and just bug them about it instead, Had you done your research and were still confused about something, and posted in the right section of the forum, then you would have got better replies.

Yes, how dare they suggest you discuss your feature and/or idea in the forum for discussing features and/or ideas. How dare they also not show you the respect you deserve, despite being the most recent in a long line of people who also know exactly where a post belongs, forum descriptions placed just below a forum and sometimes in the forum name be damned!

I said nothing about demanding "respect," but so many of you are so caught up in your own little world, you cant see the bigger picture. you may not have noticed it, but you do the exact same things you accuse others off. Right here you are telling someone you don't know, that he behaves like a child ... or in other words: "to grow up".




You're getting the same comment frequently ? So surely the more often you hear it the more likely it is that the other people are in the wrong. Must be that.
