I have noticed on the chat channels on the SiSi server that people are breaking their necks to get their hands on one of these NEW ships, and basically I don't understand what all the hype is about.
I mean yes it is nice to see a NEW ship being tested but the way some of the people are carrying on it is like this ship is capable of war and destruction on a scale never seen before, even though all it is, is a mining support ship (I might be wrong)..
Now having said that I was thinking is this ship really going to solve any of the problems that come with mining in Lowsec or 0.0?
I can't see how it is going to make mining require less people as I doubt anyone would deploy one of these ships without a small fleet(or a big fleet) of support ships to protect it, and having to do this will more than likely end up requiring even more people than the normal old way of mining in Lowsec or 0.0..
Maybe some of the people that do a bit of lowsec/0.0 mining could let me know what they think as one of these ships is going to be a reasonable sized investment and seeing it is not able to protect it's self I can only assume that it will need to be protected by a lot of support ships.

Its new so people want to touch its shiny new-ness. Thats about it for that part.
It will help with some issues with low sec and 0.0 mining. But no, i dont think it will outright solve any.
Ill be investing in one myself, my indy alt was going to train for a carrier to use for 0.0 transporting, this will be more effective

After the mineral compression nerf, a Rorqual would be the best way to import low ends.

as the other fellow said the mineral nerf makes it usefull for large volumes of low level ore going down to 0.0 , and large volumes of high level ore going to high sec,also its a new ship,first if its kind basicly,its fun to play with the new stuff
