you will or will not watch this film. http://zeitgeistmovie.com/
one of the heaviest things I've ever seen and shines a light on what our future may be like.
kinda slow to start and the first 45 min explains religion but second half is very awakening

Edited by: Larissa Mokri on 21/08/2007 02:52:37 I've watched this before, and it's incredibly disturbing. I'd like to get a few more sources, before I totally accept its message however. Still, despite the fact it brings up many conspiracy theories, it does a good job in presentation so it doesn't sound wacky.

Lock for politics / religion.
yea I've seen it to and the 9/11 stuff is pretty convincing. however i feel that if they would have laid off the images of explosions and death stuff in the beginning they'd probably have alot more people watch it... because seriously its like the first what 10 minutes of nothing but stupid non needed images of death, gore, and explosions? How can they expect it to be viewed and respected after that?
Also I think their facts about the religious deities at the start of the actual information part of the movie is stretched quite a bit... I admit I'm not an expert but theres not a chance in hell that any of those dates are well recognized... Plus he said Horus was born on Dec 24th to a Virgin Isis, and then slips the name Mary after Virgin Isis as to say Virgin Isis Mary... really the stupid imagery in the beginning and the skewed facts really discredit everything further whether or not it does seem to be slightly thought provoking.
The thing about the national education system and RFiD chips and all that, though, I feel is just paranoid delusions... I've worked in the school system for the past 3 years and thats long enough to see that if teachers actually want to teach they will... I know alot of people say its the parents fault, its the students fault, but alot of the time it is the teachers... Hell I knew 1 teacher that as soon as the students were gone she'd curse at some of their names and say shes going home for a beer :P Not saying its not the parents fault or students faults in some cases. Sometimes a student would be better off getting disciplined at a stricter school because a public school cant really do much anymore in that concern. And some of the kids really really need it and I gotta say in most cases, its the parents that have turned them into what they are. But the school I worked for was a very small public school, had a graduating class of around 50. Of that 50, 46 received academic scholarships from colleges across the state. Seriously, even the 'stupid jock' type guys at the school are A+ students.
It is really up to the specific school and teachers to setup support programs for the students. I know of 1 girl who was doing bad as a sophmore and one of the older teachers met her in the hall and asked how she was doing in her classes, she said ok, and then she asked if she could see her report card and pretty much gave her a massive guilt trip and made her think she was disapointed in her, that probably did more to spur on her getting better grades than yelling at her would have.
Anyway off meh education rant type thing, the RFid thing is just paranoia in my opionion as well... And so what if we do all get RFid'ed in the future. I really could care less. Its not like they dont already control our money. You have a bank account? Well do something they dont like they'll freeze and seize it. Honestly my opinion is, you dont have anything to worry about if your not out causin problems. Honestly, I'd probably welcome it just so it'd be easier to track those who need tracking.

You mean you couldn't care less? Because what said leaves room for even less caring. Sorry to be a grammar n*zi, but that's one expression that really bothers me. Er... carry on debating please __________________________________________ "In girum imus nocte, et consumimur igni."
