And so it starts.
Wrangler, you need to supply a system so that people can sell and buy things that Contracts doesn't support.

There more I think about this the more I can't believe such a decision has been reached.
Contracts does not support everything, the forums do. Contracts locks your ISK in escrow, the forums do not. The forums let you set a reserve higher than a starting bid, Contracts does not. The forums let you set a sniper rule, Contracts does not. The forums are viewable out of game and during downtime, Contracts is not.

To prove a point. The purchase is irrelevant.

We are hijacking this thread so, if you have further questions on this I would suggest creating your own thread.
The reason people set a reserve higher than the starting bid, or set a hidden reserve is to allow a politically correct way to back out of an auction if the seller does not think that there has been enough interest from bidders/viewers to sell the item at a lower price.
If the seller see that there has been a lot of input and bids on his auction he might choose to sell for a price lower than his reserve if he thinks that his reserve might have been to high based on that feedback.
If the seller does not see enough bids and feedback, he can politely close the auction without breaking trust as he openly stated that he had conditions that he expect to be met before completing the deal.
Hidden Reserves should be used with caution as a key part of having a reserve is to maintain the trust in the auctioneer. If he does not reveil his hidden reserve by the end of auction, or reveils a reserve that is obsurdly high, he will still lose the publics trust, which defeats the purpose of having the reserve in the first place.
