Anybody got any decent configs for the fastest mission ship. I need to get through the stargates before the camped rats get me. I have managed to get 3600m/s out of a Thorax with 2 x 10MN MWD's on.

You know, after reading this little thread, it occurred to me. I thought part of the reason for the MWD nerfs was to prevent players from having 2 MWDs on their ship.
Yet, it is a hot topic that you actually need 2 MWDs to get anywhere now. Kind of ironic.

caracal
2x 10MN MWD 2x medium cap battery 2x cap power relay
Cargo hold is 450 which is just enough for 99,9% of lvl 3 agent mission I had to do. Its funny, like they made the missions with caracal in mind :).

Edited by: FlareZFX on 07/02/2004 18:45:04 Edited by: FlareZFX on 07/02/2004 18:44:39 I have most of my agents located in 0.3 space and below, and for that reason I usually fly a scorp fitted with a Quad LIF MWD and a LIF AB when doing missions. After reading this thread though, I guess a cruiser would do as well too. However, if the scorp has hardeners on, the gate campers can't really hurt you in the time that it takes to get from warp-in point to the gate.

...and at the other end of the scale, an Executioner with MWD (and 3 nanofibres or expanders as required) can do 95% of my non-combat missions. It "only" does 3km/s, but it gets up to that speed (and starts warping) faster than a greased piglet.
I'm sure the Stabber is an excellent ship, but it looks like one of those comedy rubber chickens.

With missions its quite simple, if a frig can do the job use the frikking frig... The shortest it takes for a battleship to even start warping is the length of a mwd cycle (and that means alot more cap use). A frig warps in 2 seconds..
And the fastest frig (outside the gold and silver magnate)would be a vigil with minnie frig5, nav5, accel control5. Fit 1 named mwd, 1 named small cap battery, 1 named micro cap battery, 3 local hull nanos. Got the cap to warp 100 au, and a top speed of around 5 km/s orso. -------- -The only real drug problem is scoring real good drugs
