Edited by: Qutsemnie on 06/02/2004 11:08:38 Edited by: Qutsemnie on 06/02/2004 11:07:35 I would like to be able to set independent transparency settings for space and dock. Shouldnt be that hard to do.
Let me tell you why.
In space complete transparency with a black background with 100% fade on both settings and white text looks fabolous.
Its my favorite UI setting for space.
In addition theres 3 things that get transparent that you cant make transparent any other way. The tool bar on the side, the f11 nav menu, and the "dot" in the HUD for your ship. All of them I like faded very much.
(im aware of the pin push feature) The total transparency though gives me a nice spatious feel that works beautifully in eve.
However in dock transparency is HORRIBLE as its pretty much a windows enviornment.
The solution is simple. Two sets of UI transparency settings. One for dock and one for space. Doesnt involve any server changes or balance tweaking. If someone good with the UI is still on staff (its a young company im sure s/he is prolly still around) it seems like they could cook up the feature pretty quick.
transparent eve in space is the win do eeet~ =)

AND I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT when the cargo containers and the corp hangar use the same friggin window.
A container in space usually has 1-5 items so I keep it in a small window.
When I dock and call up the corp hangar (with hundreds of modules naturally) the flipping thing opens up in the same tiny window that the cargo container occupied in space.
So I resize and undock and next time I'm opening the cargo container.. it's flipping huge again like the corp hangar.
Gets really old really fast when hauling ore for example.

I agree, I use totaly different window configurations inside and outside of a station. So I always have to take time to re-arrange everything.
It would be very handy if it saved this information as two different configurations.
