I seem to be doing the same missions over and over again between various different agents and even the same agent is giving out the same mission a few times.
When do I expand to higher level and/or different missions? When my faction standing increases? Or when agent standing increases? Or when all lvl1 missions have been completed? According to the list on eve-info.com, I've done every lvl1 mission at least once except Worlds Collide. I am in the middle of WC lvl1 right now and once finished, IĈm hoping to see a change to lvl2 missions but I have a feeling I will still be doing lvl1 missions over again and that other agents (or even the same agent that just gave me WC) will hand out the infamous worlds collide mission lvl1 to me again.
Thanks and sorry for such a noobish question.

you can move up to higher level agens one of two ways.
1. When your standing to that corp increases to a point to allow access to the higher level agents of that corp.
2. When our faction standing increases to the same point, which allows you to access the higher level agents of all corps in that faction.
Perosonal agent standing really doesn;t do much, except boost offers/reward for missions.

Thanks for the reply,
I guess I can look forward to completing the WC mission again, maybe a few more times.

Hi Lucas - you may have done the same thing as me when I first started doing missions.
You thought you would be invited to work for a level 2 agent . It doesn't happen like that and you will have to search for the next level agent.
Quickest way is to go to your standings page, click on your agent's corp and go to show info. Then go to agents and then open the sub menus according to each agent type. It will clearly show which ones are available to you.
Hope this helps.
Oh and BTW I did about 80 lvl 1 missions before I realised this. Actually had some lvl 3s available

Edited by: Lucas Edge on 28/08/2007 19:06:10 About a day after my first post I started getting lvl2 missions - go figure. I checked out the agents working at various corps and realized I have a ton of lvl2 agents available now. However, I also noticed a lot of lvl1 agents that have higher quality ratings (17-18 compared to the -10's that I previously was working for). Currently, all the lvl2 agents have a below 0 quality rating. So would it be better for now to start working for the high quality lvl1 agents or the low quality lvl2 agents? I know the lvl2 agents pay more but I'm looking to increase corp/faction standings quicker (social and connection skills are already at lvl4). Thanks

I just got enough faction to qualify for a level 2 agent but when I asked him for a job he said to look for some-one lower down on the corporation ladder. In the agents tab in base he is in the available category. I can't figure out why he won't give me a job. Thanks.

Right click on the lvl2 agent and click show info. Then click on that agents corporation logo. Now open the again tab and scroll through the list of agents. It should show other agents available and chances are, you will see some other lvl2 agents. If they say available but are not letting you run their missions then just run a couple more lvl1 missions or petition CCP.
As far as my question goes... Anybody know? Is a lvl1 agent with quality of 18 better than lvl2 agent with quality of -6?? By 'better', I mean standing wise.

Lucas - a Lvl 2 -18 is better than a Lvl 1 +18 for standings/LP and cash. Only proviso is the higher level mission will take longer than than the lower ones, especially when you move from lvl 2 to 3 and then to 4.

I have had a similar problem in the past with an R&D agent (showed up as available but he wouldn't talk to me). I was able to work with the agent after exiting the game and restarting (or it might have been the intervening scheduled downtime). Might be worth trying.
