I'll add my ill will, *also anyone see the number of stars EVE got in Computer Gaming World? LOL 2 starts baby*
Anyways, whats up with the sassy comments when a session change error happens? It tells me that the problem was identified and some one took the time to do soemthing, but that something wasn't to fix it but rather to make smart a s sed quips that really just make me even more annoyed. I understand they were an attempt at humor but after 57 time of being informed about being buckled into a ship (which isn't how the RP goes) it makes me consider that they know there is a problem and rather than fix it they are trying to what...distract me with bad humor? I am not an idiot (well maybe a little with things I dont know) and I do not appreciate being distracted with a shiny piece of string.
FIX THE PROBLEM don't just be rude about it. When the session change error popped up it was bad enough, not the graphics make it look like it is supose to do that, IT ISN'T. Fix it please.
To paraphrase John Locke, "a MMORGP survive but by the sufference of it's players" remeber when the number of people got down to around 1,500 on average? yeah after the afterglow of "tech2" changes wear thin you'll see that again...and I dont' want that to happen, I have spent a lot of time having fun with people and ignoring the many problems of the game...make it work better please :)
Promotions aren't the solution either, free trials will just buy time. We all have a point whent he irritation over whelms and we quit. I supose we shuld take bets on how many people will quit when, kinda like an office pool.
This is a game, we can have our cake and eat it too. Make your old players happy before tying to recuit legions to replace them, thats just insulting.
And for god sake it isn't the Devs and GMs and CCP VS. the player. This is an RPG, the job of those who are running it in and out of charatcer is to make it fun for us. Read any tabletop Storytellers guide on running RPGs. Your job is to make us happy. Thats the whole presim of us even playing this game, to have fun. lately this game has been frustrating and I play it less and less... |

The session change/fasten seatbelt message was put in to prevent players getting stuck while undocking so is therefore a fix rather than a bug.

Ok let me know how you promoted your MMORPG?

Why dont you make it fun for yourself? You are master of your own destiny, so if your not having fun then that is down to you.
If your not enjoying the game then fine leave. There are thousands of people who enjoy this game and dont post threads whining about how ccp wont hand you things on a plate |

So let me get this straight you think the game is pile of rubbish, yet you still play in the hope something will annoy you into hating it more and then leave??
And as a final show of anger you will smash up your game?
Wow, I wish we all had your sense of rational thought. -----------------------------

The session change is not a bug. Its a normal function within the eve program for whe the player docks or whatever. It wasnt there before because there was no session change message in place.
It was put there becuase players actions before a session change was completed were causing problems with the database leading to a wide range of server instabilites causing crashes and stuck situation and so on.
The problem cant be "fixed" becuase the session change is part of the game.

I don't have any feeling of even a remote understanding for the way you feel about EVE.

Let me get this straight...you wont give this game a 1/2 star now, yet you continue to play it? That's a little "strange" dont you think. Here's some advice for you: 1. See that link on the left side? Under Account Management? Click on it. 2. Click on Modify an existing account. 3. Click on Subscription Info 4. Click on Cancel Subscription
Give us a favor and do it. No one cares about your "one more mistake about CCP and I'm outta here." You're no more special than any of us as we all go through the bumps on this road of EVE.
Being upset over a game is one thing...coming in and saying "one more! ONE MORE THING!! Is another...just quit the game. Thats like going in a restuarant and complain about their food, but you keep going there everyday and still eat. Just go and buy Star Wars Galaxies or something and litter their forums.

Sorry that isn't a fix. It's called a workaround. If it was fixed then workarounds aren't needed.

no, its done cause the other choice is the massive stuck players and systems, so if you can think of something that would work better, by all means do it, CCP would most likly pay you but if Yulai or Pator locks up after your code is used, Im looking for YOU!! ------------------------------------------------ Do not let the world change you. I dont get it... whats oh so wrong with a message box which prevents you from getting stucked?
Oh ya and anyone who dont like the game, may leave unless you have a gun pointed at your head by somebody telling you to keep playing. But sometimes we're just victums of our own... sad

Someone explain why I should give a rat's butt about what CGW says about anything? I'll take word of mouth from a friend, or my own personal experience with a game over any commercial reviewer's opinion. ___winterblink/warp_drive_active/eve_nature_vraie// |

If you don't like the game, leave. If its not for you, its not for you. The simple fact is, EVE is a masterpiece of gaming enginuity.
No other MMORPG has the scope that eve does, no other MMORPG gives you the freedom eve does. Yet small minded people such as yourselfs seem to think its stupid because you have to put some effort into what you gain.

Ya know eve is just ok for what it is.It is not the "game of the year"as sooooo many would want it to be. From what i can tell if you werent playing from launch date your pretty much screwed here. Most of the 0.0 roid fields are mined and guarded.Problem with that is most new players dont know that.I think Tyler is pretty much on the money imo. Ya know its real easy to tell someone to go play another game if you dont like it.(betchya CCP cringes EVERY time a player says that on the boards) Fact of the matter is there are PLENTY of mmorpg's with just as unique a vision in beta or soon to be released. With poor customer service on most of them it is easy to go to another game once you have had enough.
You can hype up this game's vision all you want but if they aren't fixing the little things what does that say about future expansions?Heck it took funcom almost 2 YEARS to release it's 1st expansion.(was a year behind schedule actually). To be honest im just killing time until i see something better that catches my eye.

that's the whole thing... I think many of us are waiting for something that will compete with EVE.
CCP has identified something for which there is a demand. They're the only ones attempting to provide the 'specific' service. The fact that EVE is still around isn't because they're doing it well, it's because they're doing it at all.
& again, it's not about how quickly new things roll out. I could care less about that. I'd rather have half the updates in 3 times the amount of time, but to have the properly pre-announced, & streamlined upon release.
ridiculous.
