The peeps who cry foul because they worked their a** off doing research missions and didn't lost the bp lottery to noobs with 300 research points.
On the other hand we got peeps who say it fair since a person with 30k has 10x more chances at getting a bp then someone with 300.
Well guess what the peeps with 30k rp who TOOK the bp are the ones who got jeeped. They accepted the bp and had their research points reset to 0 (plz some1 verify this). While you out there with 100k who lost the lottery kept your 100k points. Now how fair is that? You used up ur 100k points playing the lottery, just because u didn't win, u get to use the 100k again on the next lottery and the next until u do accept a bp. The poor sap who spend took the bp only got to use his research points (aka lottery tickets) once.
How would you feel if the peeps who accepted the bp cried for CCP to reset the research points for everyone after every lottery?

Yes they have.
Edit: Btw, I LOVE this post. The whining has now gone full circle. It's like it's some poor midgit in a bear suit and you've got everyone from the wholesome grandmother to the schoolyard punk havin' a go at it with a beatin' stick. -- TomB: End the speed-race. 1 propulsion mod allowed, make turrets affect ship attributes like +speed/+ab speed +agil for progressivly smaller/lighter turrets, -speed/-ab speed -agil for long-range. |

Someone's willing to pay 900Mil for something
It's in the stupid news
People are complaining about it on the Skills forum
And if all of that and a bunch of other posts I don't feel like finding are insufficent for you, then your glass is terminally half-empty.

People with res agents are not noobs. They have worked just as hard as the rest of us to get a res agent....

That does kind of depend on your definition of fair. CCP's definition is that they want the blueprints as widely distributed as possible, and the system in place is pretty much guaranteed to do this, as far as any system can be.
Ergo, it IS fair, according to the standard of fairness required. Where people err, as you have, is that because CCP and others have mentioned the analogy of a lottery draw to determine who gets the blueprint, they have assumed that the blueprint distribution IS a lottery and should operate in the same way, with losing tickets having to be thrown away. It's simply not designed like that.
Whether or not you think it's fair depends, as I say, on what you call fair. But since your definition and mine are both equally worthless, the only thing that matters is that blueprint distribution works as it was intended; everybody can throw their hat in the ring to get one, and if you DO get one, your hat is fed to the Slaver Beasts and you have to knit a new one.

The distribution method is fair.
However the time and money involved is not.
Look at the training time required for a level 5 research skill. If you invested all that time into training would you still feel the system was fair if someone who only trained level 1 beat you out?
Now apply the same for bonus missions. Bonus missions cost you from 100k to millions each day. That does not even include time spent chasing those rare items needed.
I think having research skills at rank 5 was pretty lame. Especially if you miss out on blueprints. They probably should have been rank , maybe rank 4 at most. The amount of RP given a day according to level does not make up for the time lost training.

If everyone lost all their RP's then the people who have access to the best agents with the fastest RP gain would be most likely to get the BP as they have more tickets, if you lose, by the time then next BP is gona be released you have more tickets than before so more chance of winning, whereas the previous winner will start from 0 and be at a disadvantage. =============================================

Duh, dont train it?
What kind of argument is that? Oops, my bad. It aint an arguement it is just a statement made by someone who likes hearing themself talk. It does not have to make sense, it just has to make noise.
