I'm sure we all have our gripes about this. Does anyone have some advice on how to get the jump on these gutless biotches? I'm new to the ratter ganking scene and would love a few pointers.
Also, as side note: will we ever be able to locate cloakers w/ probes??

just cut your losses man....either that or a long infiltration, ie. send a ratter in and start ratting for a while(a long while) then they will either rat again or leave the system. If they start to rat you got em..if they leave sys. just make sure you guess the right gate
oh yea...fit a probe launcher on your ratter.. my 2 isk.

well you could always jump in and hope that they accidentally hit there cloak buttons twice, this has happened a few times and you find them at the nearest planet just sitting there.
Or you can fly to them as fast as you can and hope that a rat has them scrambled. :)
Or i guess you can just cloak in a belt in the same system for a week. :P

Now I'm still a little nublet, at times, but if they don't cloak before you came out of warp wouldn't a Sensor Boosters help? Last I checked you couldn't cloak while being targeted. Or maybe get a Cloaking Device of your own and wait for him in a belt?

Camping the system is about the only way to go. You've got to make them realize that it's not worth the risk.
That, or get an alliance to move in and max out the system. Sorry, but there isn't many other options.
The important thing to understand is that they WANT to npc. If you play the game their way, and camp the system,
they will either have to move, or take their chances ratting with you in system.
We have this problem in our home system in low sec, and have had to stay on/active 23/7 to curb the problem. ----------------------------------------------- Could someone tally how many times this topic has been beat to death? |

Yarr and much thanks for the replies! I guess I need to be quicker w/ the old scan button to find em before they cloak or catch em w/ their pants down.
Perhaps I'll just set my sights on mission runners

Fit at least two points if not three, and it helps to have buddy's who are patient waiting at exit gates in recon ships.
