DO NOT USE IT !!! I've had BSOD's off of its files. I rolled my drivers back to 3.90 which greatly lessened by problems.

Anyone who has problems with new cats is due to user error most likely. Most people think it's ok to just double click on the driver and install over the new one which is SO wrong. Not ati's fault it's windows. You have to uninstall, remove all registry entries, all ati traces etc etc before installing the new driver. I have done that every upgrade and have never, ever ever had a problem with the drivers. Everyone who has had problems in the past I tell the to go surf rage3d forums and read the "proper" driver install thread and they never have a problem again.

Is someone know if the catalyst drivers pack, work w/ ati radeon 9200 mobile ?
I have the laptop manufacturer version of drivers, but no new version went out since i bought it.
So if i can use the Catalyst version it could be good... ---------------------------------- Unity, Power and Knowledge.

No Bud - All laptop / mobile gfx cards use customised drivers Specific for that brand of laptop setup..
Only use the drivers available on the manufacturers web sites ...
Sorry for the bad news

I got small issue.....ok big small issue.
I just got a brand new Asus setup. Running the new Asus P4R800-VM motherboard.
Everything is new fresh install. Windows xp pro all updated and current, 2.6MHz p4, 512 RAM that is sharing 128 to video processes(yes I got another 512 coming wednesday to pump that up). All drivers and BIOS programs are updated. Everything is at default settings.
The nice thing about this new Asus board is it has an on board ATI 9100 IGP chipset, basically it's an onboard ATI 9200 video card that shares system memory. I figured nice feature being I was trying to upgrade to an AGP slot but this onboard card is better than the PCI card I was using. That way I'm not buying a new system and having to buy a new AGP vid card to run my eve.
It runs the game great in full screen mode or window mode with only one character.
The problem is when I run both my characters in window mode. It is going to send me into convulssions or epileptic seizures. It goes into these fits and starts flashing all kinds of screwed up screen displays.....kinda like it's flashing between 16 bit color and 32 bit color.
just sitting in space(ie window mining) not a problem. warping to and from station does it or if i have either character in station(much worse with both in station). It's real bad in station......to the point I can barely stand it to go through any process in station in window mode. If i stay in there to long it almost makes me puke it starts flashing so bad.
i guess my question is.......does anyone else have any graphical "issues" in window mode and how can one fix that.
I've updated the graphics driver from Asus........should i uninstall that and go to ATI directly or do you think Asus might have their own drivers for that particular board. Reason i got that board is cuz it has the best fastest most capable graphics of any available on board graphics at this time(so Asus says).
And please don't reply with "don't run window mode"
Being a small corp is why i'm paying to run two account and run them in window mode strictly for mining purposes.
My wallet can't take being chewed on for hours when in window mode just in case of seizure(plus i might break my credit card and no longer be able to pay you guys) and i've already used up my supply of rawhide.
Any direction to help would be great, thanks in advance.

Not true - if you go here Linkage there are two programs that allow you to use the Catalyst drivers on your Radeon Mobilty cards. I used to play eve on a Dell Latitude with a Mobility 7500 - worked well with the Catalyst drivers.

I got a Sapphire Radeon 9600 Atlantis PRO 128MB AGP and using the new v4.2 drivers with no problem at all. Framerate seems to have increased aswell, no crash, no hassle, works like a charm. Just un-install all traces of ati displaydrivers, control panel, the works. Reboot, install new driver. Reboot and wham it is as good as gold.

The only catalyst drivers that work for me are the ones of the CD - V 3.9
The others install fine, but give me random reboots, wont play games and various other applications, and generally slow the computer down.
Sapphire 9500 Rad Windows XP
Updated drivers with everything else, just cant ever get the drivers on the radeon to be stable enough to run.
And yes I do uninstall all previous drivers before installin the new ones.

Goto Start / Control Panel (or 'Settings' for 98) and click on the ad/remove logo. Find the ati stuff and remove, then restart pc. After you've restarted, load your new catalyst drivers - enjoy
