Hi,
I wish to assign several new corp members the ability to:-
a) refuel pos's from corp hangar (but not take fuel from tower)
b) online/offline corp hangar
c) offline/online silos
a) is viable, the starbase fuel technician role should cater for this.
However I cannot seem to see a method of ensuring they guys can online/offline hangars/silos without also giving them the ability to offline the entire pos? There must be a way or the caretaker role is pointless.
Am I missing something obvious here guys, help very much appreciated.

caretaker is just that, fuel etc
The online/offline is under "config starbase management" role

but doesnt starbase management give them the ability to offline the entire pos too? I just want them to be able to online/offline hangars and silos.

Which setting will allow people to only add fuel to a tower and not remove fuel? Is that what Starbase Fuel Technician does exactly? I can set the tower to Caretake, and give someone SFT role and they won't be able to offline the tower by removing all the fuel or do any other serious damage?

POS roles (and corp roles in general) are based on trust. If you can't trust your caretakers, you're SOL. I wouldn't put new/untested people in a position to royally screw over the corp, but that's just me.
If I remember right, pretty much anyone can put fuels IN a POS, but I'm not sure if they'd be able to see the levels of fuel in the tower.

Helen, if life has taught me one thing. It is to never trust anyone completely, let alone on the internet, and even more so in an MMOG. I appreciate the management advice, but I respectfully say it is useless to me.
I am looking for a way to facilitate POS operations, specifically fueling of my corporate POSes without having to do it myself, and do so in a way that limits the amount risk I put my corporate assets in.
So, back to my original question; does the Starbase Fuel Technician in conjunction with "Caretaker" setting on the POS only allow them to add POS fuel without being able to remove it?

Exactly.
In the Managment-Panel you set the Tower under 'View' to 'Caretaker' and under 'Take' to 'Config Manager'.. then the Fuel-Technican can _view the_ and _drop fuel into the_ Fuel Bay, but canot remove fuel.
If you have a Corporate Hangar Array there, don'f forget to set the Corporate-Hangar-Bay under 'Take' to 'Caretaker' and give them rights for the "Fuel-Hangar" to take (in the Roles/Titles-Section of your Corp..), otherwise they have to haul it to the pos ;)

For lulz fill the POS up with something random (Exotic Dancers). Also steal all the fuel from the corp hangar and silos (take access, right?). The fact is, if you don't trust someone, don't give them access to your stuff/pos. End of story.
If you have a problem with that (it seems you do), can I have your stuffs?

Learn how POS fueling works, and try again later, troll.
Also, never trust anyone not within driving distance.
