See that could never happen because then the cost of GTCs would skyrocket to the point where people could no longer buy GTCs with isk "no matter how high that price is".

Well, it would never happen, cuz for u to be able to buy a GTC for ISK, sumeone else has to buy it for real money.

IF it happened and it was still through GTCs, nothing... Inflation wouldnt be bad because 1 person spending $15 on a gtc and selling it, then that person using the isk they bought to buy another GTC would keep isk circling around. CCP wouldn't lose money because people would still be buying GTCs with cash so...

Retailers buy them from ccp and then sell to players, who in turn sell them to other players for isk.
Does anyone know how to get my name capitalized? |

Isn't this kinda like asking; If all aboard a plane took a po-o-op, would it fall from the sky due to increased weight?
The game cards does not appear out of thin air, nor does po-o-op!

A random thought occured to me. Wouldn't CCP get more earning potental? The 30 day GTC costs what $15 give or take, after giving the percentage to the distributer which is probably equal more or less to the fees they pay to the banking company so that transaction is probably a push. You have players with 30 days of game time for the same cash cost as the person recieving 31 days. over the year the person paying with cash will be 5 days over the person buying a 30 day GTC. of course this is speaking pennies, but on Corporate level pennies count.

There was talk a few months ago about CCP eventually offering game time for isk themselves: here. That's where the real problems crop up.

Do CCP gain or lose from Euro players buy GTC's from USA in USD rather than paying in Euro's?
30 day GTC = $14.99 = ú7.47
1 Month sub via CCP = Ç14.99 = ú10.17
The 28% savings to the UK player is significant, however I am not sure what the import tax liabilites are on the GTC's.
So do CCP make upto 10% ( removing VAT etc) more from a Euro Subscription than a US sourced GTC?
