Im getting an unknown for status is it back up yet or is my client screwed?

It's back up. I'd check with your ISP. What ISP are you with, and from where abouts?

I have seen that error before last time i had that i needed to reoot my PC and give it a clean start then it found the server no problem, was a one off event thought never came back after.

Same thing for me and i can ping the server fine which is most odd.

I get the same thing
"unknown"
the client doesn't seem to run the "checking" phase when it starts up...
A reboot has not resolved

I'm fixed, for some interesting reason my firewall decided to do something odd, soon as i disabled it, eve worked fine.

I dont have my firewall running and have also just donwloaded and reinstalled the client!
Still getting an "unknown" status

Maybe Windows Firewall has turned itself on? It does that sometimes.
