the story. over the last month, someone lost 4.4 billion isk that a friend of theres sent them. this isk was declaired as bought isk. therefore making the individual be accused of buying isk. making ccp accuse them of being an isk buyer, ect so on. the game now made un-playable. the exploit.. 1.) make an account. (buy some isk on it) 2.) send the isk to someone you don't like, or someone you are at war with. 3.) wait for ccp to track the isk.. and blam it ends at the person you don't like. 4.) if they are just issued a warning, do it again (this time making another account) 5.) eventully there account will become banned. and you win the war, or get the person discouraged that they don't bother to create a whole new character. (easier done on someone with 50million+ skill points.) (like the alliance leader of BoB. continue doing this until you win wars over these large orginisations.)
---- this exploit has been brought to you by the actions of the offical CCP team. and interperted and brought to you by the "unoffical" eve griefers. please feel free to post your reply's as to how this exploit has worked out for you :)

great move by discussing it on the forums for everyone to exploit. Talk about the EULA violation of the year... -

Do this and Congratulations, CCP have just linked your billing information to you main's account from the account you bought ISK with.
Account bannage imminent.
Yup, really clever idea right there.

I think quite a few people will petition it to see if it is legit isk or not. Not everyone just takes free isk and spends it asap. ---

I think they only remove the isk and ban the sender of the isk. so doesn't matter how much isk you send it will only be removed, unless the reciver spends it resulting in a negative wallet. --- Signature is only 10 bytes |

This method isn't new. CCP is well aware of it. Sending someone isk isn't always grounds for a ban.

Sadly, making exploits widely known has proven to be an effective way to get them dealt with by the powers. I'm not talking about Eve, I'm talking about every MMO.

Discussion of exploits on official forums is bad, mmkay.
As for avoiding this exploit, the victum should clue in be the time the second gift appears in his wallet. All they need to do is petition the appearence of that ISK and have CCP investigate. I suspect that CCP will side with the victum if he co-operates. And when CCP does an IP address look up on the account that sent the ISK, makes a quick comparision to your account, I am sure they can put the pieces togethter. Odds are high that if you try this, you will lose the money you spent, your account(s), and the war as your target is not likely to be banned.
