Serpentis Overseer's bounty went from 4.875m to 993k.
He no longer drops loot.

I've never had him drop loot, nor have I ever seen him with a bounty that high.
Maybe it's just me though . . .

Try gett some facts before you start whining. The 4.8 mill Overseer was chancebased, and he didn't even spawn all the time. I've never even seen a 4.8 mill overseer in WC

I've seen him 6-7 times I think.
Every time he was 4.8m and dropped a large amount of loot, usually faction modules/ammo.

I have done it at least 3 times but never seen Serpentis oversser with bounty of >4m but at most is 1.5m isk and none faction loot

I see the Overseer about half the time, but it usually drop nothing except one time when it was a 2.5mil one and it dropped some really nice loot.

They probably just nerfed you then so don't worry
Most of us probably hardly see any overseer rats there with a bounty above 2.5. My record is 1.5 mill btw

Did this mission twice in a row yesterday evening and the first mission spawned an Overseer @ <1M bounty, the second didn't spawn one at all. Loot was the usual BS ****e, some named and some ammo.

Must have been 3.75 mil then. The overseer is either a standard deadspace ship or a fake commander, with bounties up to 1.4 mil and crap loot, or a real commander with good loot for which the lowest bounty is 3.75 mil. There is no possibility for a 2.5 mil bounty commander in WC. That is the Vengeance bosses.

Think it would be best to clear up who saw what and where. I've the feeling that the chances of the overseer appearing and the chance/quality of the loot differ by security status. So who saw/got what in what sec?

No, it is completely random. I used to farm that mission for the overseers back when you could scan for them without actually entering stage 2, and how it worked back then (and as far as I can tell still does) is this:
At a random time while the mission is active (you do not have to be there, it just has to be spawned) an overseer NPC appears. I have had an overseer in the mission right when I entered stage 2, and I have not have had one spawn for 12 hours. Usually it is somewhere inbetween.
This overseer is most of the time just a normal NPC with a bounty somewhere around 1 mil. Roughly 1 out of 7 of them is a real commander with a bounty of 3.75 mil or more.

And on top of that it usually spawns as an Overseer by name only and drops casual loot (1m bounty) and for the lucky few spawns as a "real" Overseer with matching bounty and bounties at 3.75 M or more?

usually see a 800k overseer,
got luck a few nights ago and got a 3.7m one. couldn't even salvage the wreck

As far as I can tell, it ALWAYS spawns, and it is a matter of a random time interval. Of course I have no idea if said interval can exceed 23 hours and thus never spawn before next DT. Back when I farmed them they even used to respawn (like all other rats in WC), not sure if they do that still since without scanning NPCs farming them has gone from unprofitable fun to complete sillyness, so I never did it anymore. I don't even bother waiting for Overseers these days.
And when they respawned, it was always the same overseer again. So if I got lucky and had a real overseer 1 hour after DT, I could relatively reliably count on getting two more commanders from that part before the next DT, where the overseers identity is reset. Likewise, if it was a fake I did not need to bother checking again before next DT.

I've been doing lvl4 missions for well over a year and have only had the 4.8m overseer once, mostly get 1.5 to 2.5 overseer.
Loot wise, have only ever gotten ammo + tag.
Ripping out the 3 1m Caldari BS and not making them agro has realy ruined WC, it use to be a good challanging mission, now it just childs play.

Just been reading this post, a Serpentis Overseer spawned in the serp room and dropped no loot. When I went back to the Guristas room there was also a Guristas Overseer. It dropped T1 stuff and had a silly bounty of 600k. Anyone had that before?

Did WC lvl 4 serp/gu something like ten times in empire (0.7)
Never had a serpentis overseer with 4.8M bounty, and on the "normal" serpentis overseer i never looted special things .. sometimes it doesn't even loot anything ..
Never had guristas overseer by the way

The Gurista overseer is always present the same crappy one.
The serp overseer is always random. Best I have had was 3m and dropped faction ammo, tag plus T1 named loot.

I saw the 4mill Serpentis Overseer yesterday. He dropped shadow tungsten and a crystal Tag.
