How is your FPS after the patch?
Mine is (19-20) less than half of what it used to be (50-60). When I deactivate the sound there is no improvement.
Vista, e6600, 2 gigs, 8800GTS, 1920x1080 window.

I didn't actually pull up the FPS monitor but there's no notable difference on my 3.2 P4 with XP SP2 and 1gig DDR2 and a 7300GT.

I haven't noticed a change myself - but some people in-game were actually talking about an increase in FPS. Who knows, maybe they changed something that effects different computers in different ways.

I had between 20 and 32 fps sitting in a fleet of 150 last night, so can't really complain.

Edited by: Polysynchronicity on 31/08/2007 20:29:59 My FPS is a steady 210 both before and after the patch. Have you checked the "Improving your frame rate" sticky in Known Issues? With a 8800GTS, you should be getting much more than 20, or even 60 FPS.
A side note - running EVE from a RAM disk will not improve your framerate, but it will improve load times.

Edited by: Stefx on 02/09/2007 02:37:40 I installed the latest nVidia drivers for my 8800GTS I deleted and made a clean install of Eve
Still getting 20-30 FPS in windowed mode (1920x1080) The Eve window is not overlapping on my second monitor advancedDevice=1 was done in my prefs.ini Sound is off, just to be sure. I get a handful more FPS with Interval immediate, but that's it
I'm at a loss for fixing this. I used to get 150+ before 2.2
Other suggestions would be welcome, thanks

I have a crappy system, barely runs EVE... but the FPS jumped up almost 30% after the patch (sound disabled before and after patch) for me.

Edited by: Sporbie on 02/09/2007 18:05:03 I have a laptop: intel core 2 due 1.8ghz 1gb ram mobility radeon x1600
I get 70-100 when in an empty system in like an asteroid belt or near a station. Today I got 20-30 fps when in a deadspace complex with 4 other players, so I don't know why do you have suck a low fps on an 8800gt. But then again I use a resolution of 1024*768, so I guess that kinda explains it, but I didn't notice fps drop after the patch has been deployed...
