Indy V, PE V, MP V, with supply mang' and Av MP not too far away, training hulk/orca atm
Wondering if it's possible to make isk with it constructing things... sounds silly, but I almost have no will to use the char aside from when she can use an orca to transport my vehicles about. Original plan was to construct all the BPCs I had coalated.
I'm quite used to raking it in on my PVE chars in hefty sums, steam rolling in.
Where should I start?... Would they be of any use in a WH? Should I get freighter? Should I get some BPOs and a POS?.. or are these ideas a bit grand when starting out with indy?.
Don't want to crash and burn the second I start, any advice probably be golden :) How do you get the indy char rolling?

If you rake isk in elsewhere find a good supply of cheap minerals, find a ship/item/whatever you can manufacture and turn a profit on. (PROTIP: Actually do math here) Your other characters should be able to fund the mineral investment. |

You can make OK money with the orca as a hauler for your industrial business but a freighter is much better. The most money I can make with an orca is a mobile salvage alt /mobile wormhole ninja base of operations. Being able to run a dozen missions without docking is awesome.
Obviously if you do hisec mining the orca is great for that, but with only 2 other toons mining its more productive to have an extra hulk. A fully bonused Orca needs 4 hulks to make more than just hulks.
Doing industry in the orca is a pain in the ass for me. I need to buy over 50 million trit sometimes, and its often 14 jumps from the hub. When you max an orca out for cargo it not safe to AP.
I like to dual box which is why I started using the Orca for mission support. However, if you can afford a marauder, a full blown indy toon on one screen and a marauder on the other will net you well over 100 million an hour. (This of course does not apply to moose burger, he can make 100 billion an hour dual boxing, that thread is upcoming).
