... and donµt reset it between EVERY purchase
Anyone who bought more than 10k rounds of faction ammo knows why...

What? You mean to say that your LP is reset to 0 if you buy anything even if you have more LP?

No, I'm pretty sure he just means that the way the LP store works means that it takes ages to make very many purchases of each item, like buying up a big supply of faction ammo... -

In order to make sure that nothing is being hacked, ccp would have to keep a copy on the server and check every single one of your purchases anyway. Much easier for them to not put a copy on the client because this way they can change the stock of the lp store without having to release a client update.
As for it reseting, I agree that it is annoying. ----------------------------------

Not if its already set up so the item I need is at the top. Ofc. I set it up like that when buying large amounts (the reload thingy forces me to, would be nice if I could just find the ammo and buy the amount I want though)
Lag is my issue and it seems like something could be easily fixed by moving everything except the transaction to the clients cache. (like out portraits) Im just annoyed that programming shortcuts like the complete reload forces me to make workarounds in the UI and spend minutes waiting for reloads through all the lag.

Why not just allow you to buy multiple sets of the item if you have the LP and the tags/items ?
It could just pop-up a request for the number of items.

You can just hit the purchase button multiple times in quick succession. At least when I bought my ammo last time that worked.

I'm not sure if you want to try that with implants.

That wont happened because that opens a transaction and making it more volatile for exploiting (for those who knows how to make hooks / memeory changes / packet spoofs etc). Hence most of what happens will always be performed on the serverside - for our own protection ;) --------------------

You don't open for any expliots that isn't open as it is. The difference would be that the client caches the inventory once (instead of every single time you touch something in the UI) and, say, sends a message sayig you "buy 25x Republic Fleet Fuison L" instead of saying "you buy Republic Fleet Fusion L" 25 times. There are open transactions no matter how you do it, and the current method has more frequent and longer transactions than whats needed.
Isk, LP and Hangar inventory is not kept anyway near the client and everything can be validated just as good as it can now.

There should be a number field for each item in the store, instead of "purchase" buttons. player enters the desired number and pushes "purchase" button under the list. if the cost can be obtained from the player, the transaction commits. otherwise, an error message is displayed.
Oh and "on client" does not mean there would be exploits - because the clients only allows the player to construct the request, which will be checked for validity by the server in any case.
It's just now the LP store is poorly implemented client side.
By the way, the similar issue exists with the market. it also resets to the top after each purchase. However you can add the items to the "favorites" tab without resetting the list, this helps a lot... I think the same thing would work with LP store as well.
