Well, some are and some aren't. I had high hopes for an epic fight with the Thoraxes against the Caracals, but was sadly dissappointed.
Ofcourse, this isn't regular PvP, but still, are blasterboats even viable? Inside or outside the toornee ...
I for one would like the Thorax' pilots view on that ...

I think this years tournament is a step in the right direction and makes for a lot more entertaining fights than the last time. I will never forget the first caracal fight where they just blow their opponent away and there was nothing he could do. Epic. :)

The Caracal VS Drake fight was sweet, but so far the matches in general are nowhere near the quality of the 2nd and 3rd tourneys imho. Problem is that we don't get to see expensive ship booms, it's just T1 ships.

Yeah, but the problem with earlier years tournaments was that every fight was nearly the same. Everyone had a Navy Raven, some caldari command ship and some smaller ships that got popped very quickly. There was some exceptions, like the long nos fight, but in general I think the fights were very much about extreme tanking and long range missile spammage.
But of course, this could be because there was no EW involved and because of the range the teams started from eachother.
As soon as EW gets involved, the number of ships (the total number of med slots really) gets much more important than a small number of heavy ships. Maybe they should have a cost on the ships that is relative to their amount of medium slots.

If you missed the matches or if you just want to view them while you wait for the LIVE stream at 1500GMT you can view them FREE from the EVETV Website.
Every evening Mr Loxyrider, Zapatero and myself will upload them all to the player and have them to you before downtime the next day.

I enjoyed to see a Scimitar + 3 ravens.
I've been using Scimitar + Raven for complex runs myself and also had some shield bots in my raven, incase the scimitar gets targetted. So was quite funny to see it here in the tournament.

I'm having fun (not) with the stream when it's up. I tried to use the links both in IE7 and Firefox and all it does is completely and utterly kill my connection to the intarnetz. WMP loads, does its connecting dialogue and then the whole thing dies every single time taking my connection with it....any suggestions?

I have a similar issue. I can usually watch the EVE TV stream (sometimes it buffers, sometimes it jitters but whateva) however the stream so bogs down my 8Mbit/s connection that my EVE client, my ventrilo, my MSN and even my EVEMon disconnects.
It wouldn't bother me too much if I wasn't one of the backup pilots for my alliance's team. However it is a pain in the arse when I should be on standby to replace any pilot not showing up.
I'm using Firefox + WMP.
Any ideas?
