Anyone have any news on this? I suspect that a group of Battleships can no longer take on a Carrier/Dreadnaught like they used to.
Is it now Cap Ship versus Cap Ship warfare now?

Mix Neuts and Nos. Nos still works fine when you have a low cap, and neuts eat cap for breakfast.
So fire your Neuts until your cap gets low, then fire up the Nos to help sustain it. Cycle out a Neut every now and again if you need to let your cap recover a bit. Since Neuts are more than twice as efficient as Nos at draining enemy caps, it all works out about the same in the end. --------

when used against caps it should still work fine.
Reason..
For most ships you want to Deadcap them.(drain them till they have no cap)
This isnt' really possible with just NOS's anymore.
BUT.
For cap ship warfare, the goal isn't to Deadcap them(Though it is handy if they are) the goal is to just get them below 70% so they can't jump out.
And seeing as most cap ships have 50K cap or higher, haveing a NOSing BS that can keep itself at say 67-70% cap almost all the time while keeping the cap ship from being able to jump out is still a good and valid tactic.
Most will switch to neuts, as they are more all round usefull now.

Hit the neut then hit your NOS, if you're going to go after capital capacitor specifcally, I suggest something with 8 slots, like an Abaddon, fit 2-3 neuts and the rest nos. Hit the nuets for a cycle, then turn on the NOS. Turn off a neut or 2 so that you can keep some tanking cap. Have 3-4 ships in that setup and you'll be destroying capacitor.
Also a 1 neut, 3 nos, 2 blaster myrmidon isn't all that bad either. I suggest using NOS first if hitting a frig, since you might be down a little due to MWD/tackle, and draining a few extra % before you whack most of their total cap with the neut can only help you imo.

If you weren't already using a mix of neuts and nos then you were doing it wrong.

Bah, bugger it.
Fit a couple of heavy cap injectors, 800 charges, and a full rack of Neuts. You'll blast the holy snot out of the poor dread's cap in a couple cycles and your 800's will keep you from going just as cap dead... yeah, you can't run it full time like you could NOS, but regardless... dread still dies.
Moms, however, with their insane cap recharge times... THAT needs some nerfage. Smartbombing big boats in lowsec is hella annoying.

30 rokh's with 8 heavy neuts each. they kill the cap of a mom in 1 cycle (24 secs) less if you only want to kill dreads or carriers.

Logistics cannot "feed" Dreads in Siege mode.
A large enough group of Battleships will easily break the tank of "normally" fit capitals. 10K DPS should be enough for anything smaller than a Mothership, save a faction-pimped Phoenix perhaps, that's 20-30 Battleships. The only difference now is that you can't expect to Nos a sieged Dread in front of a POS and effectively kill it with 5 Nos Battleships.
isn't it funny how some people advocate both GTC<=>ISK trades and EVE being superior due to its cruelty and costly losses, when they use the former to circumvent the latter?
