So i am looking to go low sec gate-camping in a sleipnir. I have done the whole speedy sleipnir, but without the snakes and hardwiring, the speeds which are generally required aren't really achievable.
SO for low sec gate camping I have the following setup.
Highs
7 x 220mm Vulcan II 1 x Somthing (Gang link / Nos / Neut)
Meds
1x 10mn MWD II 1x Warp Jammer II (24K) 1x Dread Guritas XL Shield Booster (Not too expensive) 1x Invul field II 1x Med Cap Injector II (w/800)
Lows
2x Gyro Stabilizers 3x PDU II
Rigs
1x Kinetic resist 1x Thermal Resist
The problem is I think this ship would really benefit with a large shield extender, possible 2 .. especially if low sec gate camping. I was wondering with the invul field and 2x lowest resis tigs, whill i be achieveing high enough resists to drop the cap booster for a medium sheild extender?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You definitely cannot drop the cap booster, unless you plan on running a Gist XL booster (even then, it's pretty essential). Other than that, the setup looks good; it's quite similar to what I use.

If you aren't doing it solo I like this setup:
7x 425mm IIs
1x DG XL Booster (if you have one that's sweet, i didn't bother spending the 80-100m for one) 1x Med Electrochem Cap Booster (I use true sansha - cheap and cap is a problem with XL setups) 2x Invul IIs 1x Shield Boost Amp (whatever name required for CPU to fit)
3-4x Gyro IIs 0-1x PDU II 1x DCU II
Kin and Therm Resist Rigs.
700+ DPS depending on skills and tanks hard (as long as your cap lasts). OFC its slower but with barrage you still hit out a long way. Completely and utterly useless solo may i add.

DCU II should def go in, i think 2x Gyro II, 2 x PDU II and a DCU II is good.
The setup i listed above is generally for solo camping. Even though theres no web and not speed fitted, i think you could bumb them away from gate (still pretty nimble).
Am at work, but with 1x Invul, 1x therm and kin rig, plus a DCU II, could any1 say what resists this will have?

I am away from the game but mine is fitted the same and I believe its 72 and above across the board.
Same fit I use but with a set of crystals and it works nicely for low-sec and 0.0

Can i ask you a question ?
r u gonna camp solo or with friends ? who is your target ?
if you r gonna camp solo, well, any decent fitted BS or command ship would kill you, because sentry guns do a lot of dps, sleipnir hasnt got much cap, and XL booster eats cap very quickly (even with capbooster)
If you r planning to camp solo, then a lot of targets would run away, AF, frigs, indy with nanos. They would simply warp away before you lock then.
BC, BS and other...simply would go through the gate

ALLMOST the same setup as mine :)
7x 425mm t2 1x random (was nos, changeing to heavy launcher or something like that)
1x mwd t2 1x t2 warp disruptor 1x dread gurista xl booster 1x invul t2 1x electro med inj
2x pdu t2 2x gyro t2 1x dcu t2
1x kin rig 1x therm rig
i like 425s better on sleip to get max dmg :)
