I made a new corp and its just me in it. How long does it take till the corp gets it's standings from factions etc? I have a caldari state standing of 5.37 and plan to put a 0.5 pos up. Just wondering how long i need to wait until i will get the corp standings

in theory the standings get updated after every DT - but you need to do 1 mission each day to keep it running -- BIG Lottery, BIG Deal, InEve & RaTTuS Home

iirc you have to do at least 1 storyline mission to kick off the standings increase and then the standings increase by 1/4 of the difference each day.
So if your Corp standing to the faction is currently at 4.0 and your personal standings are 5.5 then after the first DT your Corp standings will go up by (5.5 - 4.0) / 4 = 0.375. So after the first DT your Corp standings will be 4.375.
The next day your Corp standings will go up by (5.5 - 4.375) / 4 = 0.281. So after the second DT your Corp standings will be 4.656.
etc
It's much simpler if you are the only person in your Corp. If there are other members then their personal standings are averaged; so don't invite Corp members with low standings towards that faction until you have placed your POS. Once it's up you can invite whoever you like - your Corp standings will probably drop below the requirements to place a new POS but it won't affect your existing POS at all.

Well... I am keeping it as just me in corp till I have placed the POS... So basically to get the standings to register with the corp i need to get a faction gain.. Thats abit ennoying as I don't do missions :(

Yeah. You need to do 1 storyline mission while in your new Corp to kickstart the Corp standings towards the faction. Storyline missions are offered after every 16 "normal" missions.
You've only got to do it once though, then sit back and wait for the increase to take effect.
Another thing, which is a bit of a bug... you need to check your Corp standings towards that faction from a different character to your main! If you check it using your main character it will not look like it's increasing each day. Apparently a "fix" for this was to delete your cache - but it didn't work for me.

Does doing multiple storyline missions in a day increase your corp standings towards a faction even more than if you had done 1?
Also, how long can you expect it to take to get your corp standings high enough to place a pos in 0.5 space?

Doing more storyline missions in a day will have an overall effect of increasing the speed that your Corp standings will increase because the difference between the two standings will be greater at the end of that day.
Since the Corp standings increase by a 1/4 of the difference each day (at DT), the higher the difference the higher the Corp increase will be.

Your Corp has no standings towards Caldari State because you haven't kick-started it with a storyline yet.

OK. I just did like 20 missions and never got a storey line and don't think i will befor DT. I decided to train the connections skillbook so this has boosted and changed my faction standing... Will that be enough to make the corp detect that standing after DT? I really need this POS up asap so I can start getting people in my corp.

Even though my Caldari State standing has gone up since I have been in corp, it did not add the faction standing to my corp. Can I petition this to get a GM to fix it?

I had the same issue a while back on an alt heres what i did and what i found happens
new corp no corp standings
ran missions for a bit then DT, no faction change, kept running missions until storyline. once i did 1 storyline that standings started to change each day 1/4 of the standing at a time, it took about 10 days for the standings to match my alt's.
so based on this i belive you only need to do 1 storyline to kick it going then its fine.
I also found that the standings looked like they wernt changing and you need to delete the machonet folder and re-start your client to see the effect after DT.
I belive theres a bug that once you see a corp standing it wont change until you delete that folder for it to then update. (this is subject to chnge given the current ammount of fixes that ccp have dont recently!!)
