What's the current status of ex G / D¦ people ? Were they chasen away from north or have they even left the game ?
Don't see the *****s in the Alliance tournament. Ok D2 did very bad in the last tournament anyways, SpiralJunkie even called them noobs because they were using t1 drones in one of their battles, but now they completeley abandonned the tournament, turning themselves into nonames/nonexistants ?
Or are they back after summer break like some of them announced a while ago ? But why don't we see them in tournament pairings ?

- Ev0ke has EC and is gangking people/pirating
- Mostly Harmless is in the northern drone regions, eventually helping Razor
- Kraftwerk has a sov4 constellation and is selling Motherships

Bah, the tournament is like a big PR event, alliances get a lot of fame, not only by their neighbours but by the whole community that watches eve tv. Not to care about this is like ... dont't know .. like not to care about the alliances reputation. Can't imagine there were not enough members who did not want to participate ? Bad move to not care about it ... if you have a chance to be in the eve media and don't take it it's not good for the alliance. (Hope i won't get a troll warning for this like for the OP :()

Have you considered that there are corps and alliances that PvP for fun. That respect their enemies and have respect in return?
Sorry to have to break it to you, but I can do easily without CAOD. Our enemies and our friends know how we fight, but they do not feel the need to open a thread about it at every opportunity, nor do we will do so.
About the PR thing, we play this game for fun, not for CAOD attention seeking, with their usual 0,5seconds of glory followed by a hell of a flamefests.

That's because some of the german corps don't allow their members to post here (except diplomats etc.).
But i think it's a big mistake. Propaganda is important in any war, if you guys fail to understand that then you don't understand much of psychological warfare.
Propaganda boosts the morale of members, makes them fight with passion, not giving up to fast, boosts the morale of allys, give them confidence they are about to win is important. Propaganda influence the decisions of other corps, how and if to take sides in a war (noone likes to ally up with someon who is seen as being about to dissolve or something), it might intimidate the enemy and many other things. No wonder you lost the war against BoB and allies, since they obviously understand very well how important propaganda is. Just watch how much real $ is spend in advertising/pr/propaganda in the real world, maybe then you understand it's importance

What is Kraftwerk doing? Who are you fighting? To the uninformed it might seem you are allready isolating yourself in your little home again, carebearing and building capitals and ships for the "great things to come" and then when the **** hits the fan, you might just dissolve again. Like D2.
Same thing with Ev0ke.

what a stupid thing to say, our gameplay was never altered by any gms, nor was it ever suggested that an gm altered our gameplay - 1ship and some ammo t2 bpos a dev spawned for himself didnt make our guns do more dmg.
kraftwerk ont he other hand had the chance to take their land, the mad pact was weak and shouldnt have been a prolbem, but kraftwerk ahs been told by the goons to stop the attack - and they obey!

I never said "only" but it's defenitely a big event and a good chance to get your alliance more known.
It's like the olypic games of eve, or like the world soccer tournament. Remember Germany 2006 ? Billions have been spend on this event, in some countries the sucessfull teams got big houses from the government and are like national heros, becaus they brought a bit of fame and glance on their country in the tournament.
A lot of people watch this pvp championship and they hear a lot about those aliances who participate, but nothing on yours. A wise corporation leader (rl corporation) once said "if your corporation is not in the media, it does not exist" .. ofc. this does not 100% apply to eve, but if you are a larger alliance, a major player in eve politics you need to be known and not being a noname to everyone but your direct neighbours.

We had some talk in forums about joining tournament but there was only handful of people interested. When it comes to ze germans, I guess it's all about efficiency and ISKfests like these are not an option.

Originally by: Gordon Red I totally agree with you Deviana. And I hardly see much germans doing "forum warrioring".
IMHO it has something to do with the average age of a german EVE player.
Propaganda my a**e, propaganda and media spoil wars in eVe and out of it, btw, RL has no bearing in here so leave it out.
And ftr, i hate to give you the same news as some other players, the Alliance Tourney isn't that important, there are ALOT of other corps and alliances that are fighting and respected to both their friends and foes and do well without propaganda.
Oh and btw, good pr doesn't dissolve a corp, its good shooting and well planned and executed wars.
Have a nice day now. _______________________ Dionisius - "In Vino Veritas"... did someone say wine? |
