So you want a story of heart ache, of tears, of wasted months, of near death to a family member, well you found the place.
First i will say yes this is an alt post as is to embarrassing for me to post with my main.
So i been in eve for a while now, well over 2 years infact. I am no where near rich and have to work my **s off to get things, i used to mine back in the day then tried 0.0 ratting and now mainly lvl4 missions, all this was and is done to support my main habit which is PvP.
I cant help it, every one i know in Eve has multiple ships, me i got my sleipner for missions and thats it.
I make just enough for a lovely tempest then go out and PvP till the thing goes pop, this could be in the space of a month or even just a couple minutes. Depending on mood and alcohol consumption.
So once it goes pop i got a nice balance of 5k isk i head back to mission running, to grind away again, yes i do get payed insurance but use that for a smaller ship then a smaller ship till it all gone.
so now that you have a rough idea of how my eve life goes you will understand how hard, VERY hard things have just become for me.
So anyways there i am a fat wallet of around 1.5mil and the only asset i own is my Slepeir, anyways off to do a mission.
Now i cant remember what mission it was but it was an easy one, so i pop all rats and then go to work on the structure.
Bloody hell mom do you have to start the vacuuming right now, this is high important stuff im in the middle of. Great now you just knocked out the plug for my sound blasters, now i gotta crawl under the desk and try to figuer out where it goes back in, (i play the games, other then that a computer is a mystery, assebly is my bros department).
Woot dam im good managed to get that cable back in all by my self, Hey wait a minute wats that funny noise.
Mom just stop for a moment,,,,,, ****TTTTTTTT, quick mad dash out from under table, **** wait no please hardeners activate, wait no please just start reping, please no stop.  omg im begging you stop.
Well take a guess what happened, yip the ultimate in noob mistakes made by a player tapping on 3 years old, i left my ship unattended with all defenses turned off, and what you know a new wave of rats spawned. I lost my only asset and means to make isk to about 4 npc frigs.
All because of my clean freak, gotta get that dust mother. well now im broke, no ship and not talk to my mom.
What do i do now????

get a frig and start at lvl 1 missions work your way bak up or buy some isk the GTC way like everyone else

grab a frig, joina 0.0 alliance and go around picking up wreck loot alot of people leave it and alot even ask you to pickit up cause it just lags them out eventually.

Golden rule of EVE: Never fly a ship you can't afford to lose.
If you always follow it you'll never be in this situation.
Seriously, don't undock a ship you don't have the funds to replace - fittings, insurance and rigs - in your wallet when you undock.

Maybe I am the noob, but after the loss of the pest or the sleip wouldn't you have a ton of ISK from the default insurance payout. The insurance from the pest would be more than enough to buy a ruppie with all the t2 mods you need to rat just about anywhere in 0.0/ Hell you should be able to afford a cane which can do all mission up to lvl 3 (i know I did them).

Does not really make much sense. Doesn't eVe bank give you charity ISKs even if you have no insurance when the ship you currently fly is destroyed? You could still buy a T1 battlecruiser.

You have 1.5 million isk? You can do level 4 missions? Then you buy iteron and you start doing level 4 freight missions. I know it is a pain but it will get you into a cruiser in one or 2 days. Discard any fight mission or ask a friend to come help you for it.
