Interbus, not 'The Interbus', have agents dotted all over the universe. They don't seem to own any stations so their agents 'lodge' in other NPC stations.
So here's the question or conundrum rather. If you do some missions for them, you can't get storyline missions as they don't have storyline agents as other NPCs do. Then you get their LPs, but since they don't have stations where or how can you cash them in?
Any clues?

Its a known issue that they don't have a station. Storyline missions are given by the closest storyline agent, it doesn't matter what the corp is.

Edited by: Jack Creme on 01/09/2007 06:57:27 That's what I thought, but in the situation I'm looking at the nearest storyline agent is an Amarr NPC. My Amarr standings are far too negative for them to speak to me. Thus no matter how many missions I run for the Interbus Agent I will not get a storyline mission.
So it seems anyway.
It looks to me that the standing check in storyline code 'overrules' the request from the Interbus Agent to offer a storyline. Might be a bug or it might be deliberately set that way.
My reasons for running this agent is that since Interbus are neutral to all factions, getting storyline missions will improve all faction standings - albeit very slowly. Thus eventually breaking the -ve standing to Amarr. I'll have to think of something else methinks.
Not being able to cash in the LPs looks like tough bananas.

This is precisely why CCP removed Interbus's storyline agents. They don't want you to be able to gain standings with all factions.

Yes - I think you're probably right about that Jim. Does seem an odd policy though, meh!

Yes, it matters. Closest storyline agent must belong to the same faction.
And Interbus agents DO NOT HAVE important missions. This was made a long time ago to prevent anybody to raise all factions standings at the same time.
Have fun.

The reason is simple: If you want the advantage of good standings, you have to choose. You cannot have the advantage of sitting on the fence and good standings at the same time. So if you want those free faction ships, perfect refine, etc you need to make sacrifices. ----------------------------------
