I can't log on in my character that is in jita. It gets stuck at the "Entering Game as ...". Any suggestions?

Also stuck in endless "entering game" mode. No matter how many times i get stuck in Jita on a weekend, I continue to take my chances, thinking, "maybe just this once, it'll be okay". .
No dice. Jita on a Saturday is a serious liability to your gaming. Petition from another toon on your account, Gunz, and file it under "stuck." CCP seems to know that they need a dedicated GM moving people one jump out of Jita on peak days. Just don't try to get back in afterwards. . .

This is the continuing feature known as the "It's the weekend, so the database has to crash a few times" mode...
This happens EVERY weekend. More since the oh-so-wonderful SQL Server service pack upgrade...
I haven't played this game for more than an hour or two in the past month because every time I get on and get involved in a mission, the system is slow, buggy, crashy, or you name it...
Good thing I paid for a year... No telling how long it will take for them to actually FIX things... All kinds of nerfs and buffs, but they can't seem to fix the core playability problems...
Oh well... Guild Wars has a new expansion... Off to Tyria! |

I have been trying to load the game for my character in Jita for several hours last night and now the same thing again this morning. As soon as my char gets close to entering the game...usually on loading station environment, connection closes.
I'd hoped to get him moved to a quieter system somewhere, anywhere...I really don't care where, so long as its in empire somewhere and I can load him into the game......
It was accidental, getting caught out in Jita when DT hit......I never log off in that system and I guess this explains why
The other two characters on the account seemed to load fine, but when I tried to file a petition in-game using them - the connection closed as well.
Trying to file a petition via the web page also fails with the page timing out. Any suggestions how I can actually play this game?!?!

I get the same problem. The thing is, I'm a few jumps form Jita and not even docked.
