Right i started playing EVE early this year, got to level 2 missions with an agent, and then stopped playing as my corp imploded and i lost interest.
I have since stasrted playing again, and got good ships, but im not in a different part of the EVE universe and want to do missions there. However, i cannot remember how long it takes until i get a Level 2 agent contact after doing Level 1 missions. Can someone please refresh my memory.

You need a 1.0 standing with the corp your running missions for to get a L2 Q-20 agent. Connections III will instantly get you access to one.

Thanks for the info.
I should probably get training some social skills then, looks like i've been neglecting them whilst i've been training skills up for combat and tanking.

It took me a few hours of lvl 1 grinding 4 agents at a time before I got access to a decent lvl 2 agent (close to 0 quality)
When I learned about the connections skill... well, it's shaved off days of my casual missioning to get to lvl 4 agents. I have my connections at lvl 2, and it gives a HUGE boost to your standings. Definately don't mission without it.

Remember to step up to higher quality L1 agents as they become available. Higher quality means more standing increase. And with the LP store, there isn't any reason whatsoever to move up to any agent that works for you but gives better rewards. LP are no longer bound to one specific agent.
Also train Social. It will further increase your standings hit.

Just a side note - do the storyline missions. This improves your standing with the entire faction. Faction standing translates to every corporation in the faction. So with a high enough faction standing you don't have to focus on a single corporation like is needed when you first start doing missions.
In the end there can be only one. |
