Edited by: Eowynn on 09/02/2004 23:20:42 Dear Players,
The Auction (http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=58408) that was up to sell a limited number of "Malediction" Elite frigates will restart tomorrow as no bids were find sufficient to sell the Malediction frigate.
The auction will restart tomorrow with an opening bid of at least 7,5 million ISK. Bids must be EVE-mailed to "Eowynn" ingame. As before the highest bidders will be able to pick up their frigate.
One Malediction is currently up for escrow at Alenia so you can validate that it is the real thing.
Hoping to receive bids per Eve-mail.

Are you having a laugh or what? It's a fine vessel but there's no way in hull that its worth even half of that. I'm all for people profiting from the tech 2 BP's but come on. An interceptor has a limited market as it is, those people that would actually want to use one and put them in the line of fire (eg your stable customer base) aren't going to pay that. I do so hope there are a few of these BP's around because I think its a crying shame when they end up with people who don't actually see to use them as the sound business opportunity they are.
Well, goodluck to you anyway. If there are people stupid enough to pay that price then I hope they never decide to use the escrow market for bargain hunting....
theres always one spellign mistake that gets through

after seeing the amount of replies you got on eve-i.com , what makes you think people will be willing to pay 7.5mil (!!) for a frigate !?.
2 , or even 3mil is a reasonable price plus a nice profit per ship for you . for 7.5mil , ill just build myself 2 caracals :) ktnxbye . -------------------------

Girl, a piece of advice: Sell the original for 900m and spare yourself the trouble. You will never be able to sell more then 50 of those frigs anyway since there is not enough players able to fly them.
Get the isk and let the others do the hard work. ______

Despite I find the price rather silly myself there is no reason while it should not sell. There is always the collectors value, and let us face it. Once you have played EVE for long time money starts to not be an issue for a lot of people.
So I think there will be a good deal of people buying them not so much for their use in combat or whatnot, but simply to own one. I might buy the Gallentean model for instance, I'd never really use it, but it might be fun to do some combat vs NPC in a more beefed up frigate. -------------------------

Agreed, there will be people who are able to fly the ships now, have a mass of money, and see 7.5M as a small price to pay to fly an unusual, for now anyways, ship.
My advice would be pick a price and just put it on the market, your selling to a limited audience doing it this way. If they sell fine if not lower your price.
The interesting thing will be the insurance. I know that the magnates insurance is pointless, with it being 4000 times lower than market value.

base price is 350K...
...but seriously 7.5mil for: 3 hi, 3 mid, 3 low, 35MW, 125tf, 435m/s
it might be new but that doesn't mean its great! |

I'd pay up to a maximum of 5M I think for a Minnie Interceptor, but only when I'm in a good mood and made some profits in a day of Mission, Trade w***ing, or Hunting. And only if I knew these'd be limited.
No way I'd pay 7,5M tho', can have a nice top-end Cruiser for that.

Edited by: Death***** on 10/02/2004 15:12:26 Someone on another page was giving stats out on a Elite frigate (gallente) and well it was costly. Around 2-3mil in tech parts, 400k or so in minerals and well then the ship on top of that. Edit: Ooops forgot plus the ship to the price tag there. And don't forget if it was researched the tech componetes to research it arn't the cheapest either.
These ships arn't cheap to make at all. I can understand that high price tag on it but everyone needs to know what goes into one before they realise the cost. Maybe try doing a BYOM type deals Eowynn so they realise the cost of it. Fear The Bunny

I know that sellers want to make a profit, but sellers also stay in business by being realistic. Your auction, in my eyes, is nothing more than attempting to hype the ships, in order to sell more. Whatever you're selling, I'm not buying.
When the prices have halved from the current state, I might be interested.

Just checked the markets, and the workings to a price of 2.4 are way off. Market prices for Tech II construction parts, are over 20k in most areas so your talking more like 3.5M - 4M to buy the parts needed...
