Tbh, if youre gonna health point tank and mwd into smartbombrange structure tank > armour tank. Bulkheads dont ad to mass. A domi with 7 1600mm plates would prolly have a max speed of 500 or so with mwd :)
And on another note 60% resist across the board > 60%, 45%, 20%, 0%

Why would you fit 7 plates? 4 plates, 2x EANM2, DCU2.
These stats are with maxed skills, figured with EFT.
Top speeds w/ MWD2: plate 1082m/s, Local bulkheads 963m/s, T2 bulkheads 794m/s
HP, damage 70%exp/rest kin+therm: plate 106,479, locals 85,859, T2 106,092
HP, damage 100% exp: plate 104,224, locals 88,504, T2 108,737
Time from standing still to max speed: plate 24.7s, hull (both of them) 23.8s
If you're up against primarily caldari, the T2 hull tank wins with max 4.3% more HP since they'll get to spam you with exp missles. But it's 25% slower, rough for getting in smartbomb range. I'm not sure how much the agility difference would affect performance.
I can see why people like the hull tank from a "wtf?!" perspective, but don't understand why people compare it seriously to the passive armor tank. Please feel free to enlighten me. |
