not talking about mass effect here, but as Large Collidable Object said recently, "Reapers are pointless because I can't solo an Erebus with it." They have been surpassed in all areas (DPS, Range, Alpha).
then i realized how true that was, i can't solo an Erebus with it. and since there's no ship that can solo one, are all ships pointless since in every situation there is another ship that is better than it in one situation or another... even with the Erebus, i can't bubble gates or launch bombs.
so is eve pointless? or are all these pointless pointless threads and their pointless posters pointless?
but as for a real question goes - what are all the rookie ships best at? looking for anwsers that don't apply to the class as a whole, but individually. extra points for those of you who 'prove' that one is pointless compared to another and start calling for a buff/nerf.

yes, i know. i haven't tried to fit all of them, but i know/seen a few amarr noobships do this, can they all do the job equally or is one better? and if they all can, that isn't answering my question. |

You asked two questions; one in the thread title "Are reapers pointless?" and one in the OP "what are all the rookie ships best at?" My answer applies to both. You asked what ALL of the rookie ships are best at, not EACH.

Just as a clarification as i was quoted out of context - this was just an analogy posted in one of the 'are ... pointless?' threads popping up lately (I think the one calling Canes pointless since the Talos has more DPS and speed) to point out how ridiculous calling the most widely used tier 2 BC (next to the drake) pointless because a tier3 outperforms it in a certain area.
As a matter of fact, LCO flies nothing else, so don't fear the reaper...

They allow newbies to take their free ship to the drone regions and steal 120 units of Plush Compound out of the wrecks of battleship drone wrecks, after the rightful owners have fled because they think you're a neutral scout. Then you can take it back to Jita and sell it for 3.5m, which is good for someone with no skillpoints and no up front cost.
Can also use them as cyno ships if you have cyno 5 or something. |
