I recently purchased a Blackbird with the intent of going E-war and was wondering on what setup would work best Currently im thinking:
High: 1 medium Nos 2 Assault Launcher II's (more then likely Flameburst Fury) 1 Heavy Launcher (not sure what to load)
Middle: 'Hypnos' Ion Field ECM I Enfeebling Phase Inversion ECM I BZ-5 Neutralizing Spatial Destabilizer ECM 'Umbra' I White Noise ECM ECCM Projector I Remote Sensor Dampener I
Low: Compulsive Signal Distortion Amplifier I PDU not sure on the 3rd low slot
not really planning on solo PVP with this set up wondering what people think

funnily enough, I bought a BB last night for cheap gang work. I usually use my rook, which is superb, but it's expensive to lose.
My fit was as follows. Basically in a BB, your should be out of range of the target, using the long range to jam them. With the signal booster, my lock and jam optimal was 140km. That's with only one t1 sensor booster (was in 0.0 so could not source a total t2 fit).
High: 3 T2 heavy missile lauchers with precision heavies
Mids: T2 Sensor booster Hypnos multispec 4 racial jammers (Best named)
lows: 2 T2 distortion Amps.
You definitely need a sensor booster on there, to increase range and lock time. Nos is a bit pointless. If you get in that close (11km) and don't jam, your toast with only 1.2k shields. I only put launchers on as if looked a bit bare on top :) I went with precision heavies for dealing with fast ships trying to close you down. Best named racial's are as good as their T2 counterparts, but use less cap IIRC. Again, I only had T2's available. I'd also drop the 2 assault lauchers for 3 T2 heavies as, again, you want to be as far from target as you can. Mixed range on lanchers is not really a good idea.
Rig wise, i'd not bother. Get a rook, then plash out on rigs.

Forgot to mention, if your using this in 0.0 for gang work. Don't feel inclined to use that spare high slot and fit a cloak. It will gimp your scan resolution by 50% (40% for a t2 improved). I made this mistake when I first got my rook..

I use 3 Heavy launchers, 4 Hypnos multispec, 2 T2 sensor boosters and 2 distortion amps. I learned the hard way what dampeners can do if you want to keep your distance, but still be effective.

fit some assault launchers (at least dont mix launchers) Do not use cap reducing ammunition if you want to fight a long fight...
1 large cap battery, 1 sensor booster/dampener or jammer, 4 jammers
2 cap power relay (or other nice modules if cap is fine)
This gives a huge amount of cap to run the jammer stuff pretty much non-stop... - I'm a nice guy!!
MOA is NOT UGLY!!! It's A FREAK SHOW!!!! |
