Hello.
I have a few questions that Ive been unable to get an answer on sofar. The search function of this site is really bad or I dont know how to use it since I get results from 2004 as the newest... The forums on the other hand is great!
1. Standings. How can I increase standings with a NPC corp? Im trying to get to 8 to get a jump clone, but the closer I get the less standing I gain. Im at 7 now with lvl 3 connections which only gives like 0.39 increase. Is there any other way to increase it then just doing missions? Will I get better standing gain if I use several different agents then just the one with best quality? Im doing lvl 3s with a Q18 agent. I also got social lvl 4 and negotiation lvl 3.
2. Ive read that once every 16 completed missions you are offered an Storyline mission which gives good standings and really nice rewards. But I get storyline missions from a different corp then the one Im doing missions from. I do 16 missions for corp 1 and then get storyline which gives standing increase of corp 2 (whom I never do missions for). Why is that?

1: The 8 for jump clones doesn't include the connections skill I don't think (I may be wrong.) But really the only way I can think to improve the standing increase speed is to upgrade to level 4 missions.
2: I don't know. But most people find it is ok, because it still raises overall faction standing, which will help with all corp standing, and is useful to setting up high-sec POSes.

1) Your Connections/Deploymacy skill will count to wards your ability to get jump clones. When Jump Clones were first introduced, social skills did not count and you required that both your personal and your corp's standings with the station holder were 8.0. That has been changed. Now your social skills will count and you can get the JC if either your personal or your corp's standings are 8.0
As was stated, best way to increase the rate of increase is to move to harder missions.
2) You are normally offered a storeline mission from the closest storyline agent of that faction. Use Eve Agents to find a storeline agent (they are all L0 Q0) for the corp that you want, then see if you can find a regular agent for that corp in that system or a neighboring system. This is VERY effective for power leveling your standings.
Sometimes it is even worth stepping back to level 2 missions using this strategy, as those can often be completed in less time, and will give you more frequent storeline missions which can make up for the decreased standing gain from the regular missions.
