It seems to me that the explosions that missiles make seem like they are very disproportional. Example Heavy vs. Cruise. The worst being the torpedo effect. It looks very out of date compared to all of the new effects. It just seems like the light missile and rocket effects are more in line with what the rest of the game looks like. I am in no way an artist so I cant really offer any solutions. I would like to hear other peoples thoughts on this. |

I think you're right and it will be cool if we can see missiles and their new effects of explosions in summer with turrets. |

I agree, all missile effects need a huge overhaul.
First off there should actually be visible missile launchers on the ships and the missiles come out of those launchers. The only ship that has visible launchers is the Drake but the missiles don't come out of them.
Secondly they should also look better in flight. Just a glowing orb isn't good. I think there should be some kind of contrail behind it. Who cares if it isn't realistic? If you were realistic we shouldn't be able to hear the sounds of our guns in space.
Finally like you said, explosions need to be better and actually proportionate with what is being fired. It makes no sense how a massive cruise missile has a tiny little pop where as tiny torpedoes have enormous explosions. |

The premise behind the sounds is that they are generated by the virtual interface in your mind>computer interface based on data, essentially allowing you to use more sense to get data. Perfectly feasible technology today and in the future.
- I think the Torpedo effects are a little overdone, even if fun to look at, so yes, a touch up there would be great. |

I guess. This is 20,000 years into the future. |
