Ships need to have crew compartments. In addition, players need the ability to hire NPC crews(or PC) to assist in spaceship command.
The addition of a crew to a ship would increase its performance by a certain % depending on the crews experience.

Pod technology makes it so that the pilot is the only crew needed on the ship. It allows the pilot to interfaces directly through his brain into all the ships systems. "I'm comin' for ya, and Hell's comin' with me!" |

Not exactly. If you read the Jovian Wet Grave which details pod technology, a 1 person crew is enough for frigates -- but larger crews are still needed on cruisers and battleships, to maintain various systems.

When the beta was around there was a bunch of blueprints in the form of jpegs for all the ships with their crew sizes (other than the pilot).
I seem to remember the frigates had 0-5 crew, cruisers had about 50-100, battleships had hundreds to thousands.
Does anybody know where to find this data?
I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

nice idea especially the crew pods that flying off the burning ship, they automatically will go to nearest station and you need to collect them
Crew will get experience and in the some time losing ship will be nothing compared to losing entire crew

If the pilot is the only one on a battle ship or cruiser why do they have all the windows?
I have always toyed with the idea of having a battle ship filled with personelle and the ability to sort of have a small colony on your ship (i presume that is what the titans are going to be like.. if they ever come out).
Will you have to feed them? bring them holoreels? get babies and increase the crew size on its own? will there be materinity leave?

I remember those pics too, figates had about 1-5 crew, cruiser had 500-1000 i think, and battleships had about 2000-7000. Don't think they are still on the site, although you could check the older versions of the site in the archive (there's a link to it on EVE-I, recent news)
