So far 10 minutes or so have passed through this conversation. I just can't help but feel like I'm in a poorly dubbed chinese western movie. "No matter where you come from, I dispises your country". ...
I was going to say something witty, but the irony is too overwhelming.
yeah... the irony is HUUUUUUGE... you didn't notice the quotations, meaning he's just repeating a quote from what that other guy said, right?
maybe it's too late for you? better go and get some sleep. or maybe to early? in that case get some coffee.
in both cases... L2READ

I quoted what was obviously the chat log in addition to what the OP wrote himself, just to make sure slow people would see who messed up the spelling. Clearly I overestimated people.

While he may have tremendous difficulty communicating in English, that last statement was nevertheless accurate. Really, what a childish thing for you to say!
Did you read up? Later he started making references to my mother... And you think I'M childish? ___________

Wow, that sounds deep.
That quote is so going on my sig and everywhere i go, i shall using this be
This text by the way, would be some awesome rp style speech. Really gives out the "alien" or "foreign" speech style of people who are not using the *cough*multi-versal*cough* language of english
Without the courage the fellow, tumbles out here to me. |

Its just sad really.
Some guy who can't speak english very well still atempts to comunicate with someone instead of just staying quiet. He attempts to interact with the comunity instead of shunning it and people jump on him.
It apears that he is Stupid, Chinese, and an Isk farmer all because he posibly (he could have managed to get that much worked out himself) needs a translator to comunicate in english.
How many languages do you speak? If he'd responded in his native language would you have been able to respond? would you have even tried?

trying to insult some1 is not what i'd consider "trying to interact with community"... but meh, maybe that's just me.

Did you try pinyin? Eve has so many legitimate foreign players that broken english isn't enough to determine ethnicity.
Oh sorry to interrupt the "its a raven and broken english!!!!" fest in here. And no, I don't think you're being racist. I'm just annoyed at the faulty logic.

Yeah, if he had started off with something akin to "Why did you do that?" or "What did I ever do to you?" I'd say it would be something innocently mistranslated. But this guy seems to understand Eve. He wants to smack Duban for his actions and provoke him into returning so that his friends can finish him off, not simply interact with others.
And I didn't get that he's stupid, or Chinese, from the convo. Farmer, yes. But that's not limited to any one cultural group. All we know is that he doesn't speak English, though he appears to understand it from his responses.
So, really, what's funny is the poor quality of the translator he used and his continued use of it. His reading comprehension skills seem to be good enough that he should know he was being mocked for the poor translation, yet he keeps up the smack, even escalates it.
Had I been in a similar situation, I would have simply stopped trying to communicate with my foreign counterpart and gone on about my merry ways. But this person clearly wants to provoke Duban, and will use any means necessary to do so.
So, please take your high-minded righteousness elsewhere. The stars in question are nothing but a smalk-talker who deserves to be mocked, not because he can't speak English, but because he's juvenile and incapable of fighting an enemy when he has superior numbers; instead he mocks him for not fighting a losing battle and dying for no reason. True signs of a gankbear.
I used to get It. Then It changed. Now I don't even know what It is.

AFter reading though this mostly entertaining post, I am reminded of a particularly amusing mistranslation from the opening song of some anime or other.
The the metaphorically pleasant yet ambiguous line "I want to rock, rock your heart!" was translated as "I want to rock, rocks to the chest!"
Back to the translation lab.
