1. Mining in Inari.
2. Scravel takes ore out of my can.
3. I lock on to his ship and send five drones to his ship.
4. Scravel leaves and comes back in a ferox.
5. Scravel's corp mates also join him. One is called doom. He has a stealth bomber.
6. Only scravel fires on my ship directly.
7. My drones are destroyed.
Now, since this is eve I won't complain. No one gives a f****g damn.
Is this legitimate ? I never took ore from scravel's can.
Scravel took ore from my can. Is this an exploit?
So if a rohk is mining in 0.5 or higher, and scravel steals ore from his can, then
scravel can come back in another bs and warp jam the rohk, and kill it.
I doubt a mining rohk would be able to fight back.
If this is the case, then it is 100% legal to kill any miner.
No real security hit, no real consequences.
I won't do what scravel did. I won't join his unethical behaviour.
But for all the greifers and pirates out there, there you go.
Another EVE exploit you can use to kill any miner in secure space without
getting ganked by concord.
Have a nice day.
oh btw, I won't read the responses.
No one gives a damn, neither will I.
Pirates have ruled eve since day one.
I can't wait for startrek online to start.
Turrets....lol.
what a joke.

You attacked him, giving him the right to defend himself for 15 mins, so he came back in bigger ship. Common tactic

There is a simple lesson to learn here. If you didnt attack him he couldnt have attacked you. How much ore was in your can? Was it worth losing your ship? Learn by this mistake and use a secure container that he cat steal from our at least dont attack him.

If you're mining in HULK, you don't have to jetcan mine.
You see, basically, the HULK holds 8,000 m3. Now add 2 Expanded Cargohold II's, and you have something around 13,000 m3. Now add 2 Cargohold Optimization rigs, and you have a hulk that hauls 17,199 m3..
Now head back to a nice spot in Inari again, start your lasers up, release your drones, and go watch a movie...
Come back every 6-10 minutes to reactivate the lasers if the roids pop, and laugh for a bit at the poor pirate orbiting you upclose, waiting for a jetcan that you'll never release.
Once your cargohold is full, warp back to your station, dock in your station, unload your ore, undock, warp back to the belts, and repeat as necessary.
And.. continue watching your movie..
(The setup above might be a little expensive because of the rigs, but your ore will never be stolen again, so it's a good investment after all, and you can also trade off the cargo expanders for mining upgrades if you're not watching a movie)

You fell for the HighSec Pirates "Kill-a-Noob" Trick.
They steal from your Ore Container
You get Killrights on them
You shoot them
They get Killrights on you
As they are better skilled and armed then you, your ship goes down the drain.
There are ways to avoid this...
1. DonŠt shoot at them. They will rarely attack you in High-Sec without having killrights on you...otherwise Concord would insta-pop them.
2. Use Secure Containers. They cannot lay a Hand on your ore then.
3. If they put the Ore from your Can into one of theirs...dont take it back...otherwise you will get flagged too and they will kick your butt again !
4. Search for another belt to mine in...if you dont care they will loose patience very soon and turn away to harass somebody else.
5. You will need to mine a lot of ore to get the Hulk back...so let them steal some of your "precious" ore...they wont do that for long if you dont care...No use in loosing a hulk to the YARR!s (as they dont really want your ore...they want top kick your butt...) "Alea iacta est" |

Edited by: Spitzerr on 07/09/2007 08:54:42 Hulk setup, Cargohold Expanders II - And Cargorigs, i heard something about them having larger cargospace than a jetcan - if that's true you will not have to drop a can..
