I just managed to get 10 mil ransom to stop interfering with a guy setting up his pos. I was only in a rifter attacking his transport ship which i couldn't even get to the armor.
Had a buddy coming along to take the tower that this guy started unanchoring as i was attacking, but he paid, though I know the tower would have been worth more. Only regret should have gone for more isk

You definately let him off easy. Grats on the POS ransom though. I still haven't been able to find one that's not protected to hell and back or practically abandoned...

Return the next day and ransom him again. Hell, even charge him taxes on a daily basis to be free from your harrasment -----

First I thought he was hunting me, he kept jumping in and out of system. I tried to find out his class of ship , but i couldn't spot him. So I decide to leave and go get some new modules for my ship.
Next system I jump to was empire. There he was in a transport ship waiting at the gate, He immediately jumps to low-sec, and I decide to follow.
First I check the belts again, thinking he might be there to haul some secure can, then I scanned him near a planet, I then scanned the moons. Found him. Guess he was refueling a pos or something.
I decide to take a look. Warp in saw he was anchoring a control tower. I bookmark the tower, and warp off hoping he didn't spot me. I then warp to the bookmark and lock him, then asked for the ransom
Was really a matter of luck though, If I hadn't seen him at the gate waiting in a transport, I would have just moved on

If you have the means and the manpower, another way to get some isk off the people who own pos's in lowsec is as follow's: Send letter to owner corp/individual that there pos is now a target and a sum of money is required to allow it to left alone. No response than put the tower in reinforced mode. Send out another mail demanding more money than originally asked for. No response Destroy pos but leave 1 module at the moon in question; So no other pos can be anchored until that item has been destroyed. If person has multipal pos's demand an even higher amount of money to leave them alone and charge a monthly rate. Make money off pos's without the hassel of fueling and all that other nonsense so you can keep shooting and looting.

One time using my hyperion I found someone setting up a POS with a Myrmidon, Prophecy, and a Badger Mk II.
Bookmarked Tower, warped off..
45 seconds later, warped to tower at 0 (was still onlining) killed the myrmidon, killed the prophecy, killed the badger with drones, and managed to cause enough hell to be ransomed 100 million isk to just leave them alone enough to set up their tower.
Sure.. i left...
15 mins later after the tower was onlined I came back, killed a rokh, killed a drake, recieved another 50m to leave them alone period...
Now thats Piracy!
