Please note that I did not explicitly defend his request; rather, I pointed out that there was absolutely no reason for you lot to go and bite his head off for his having asked. You don't know that it's a scam. If his need actually is genuine, you've got no information as to why he can't afford it himself. Suppose he is a teen in school? Suppose he already has a full-time job, one which covers his needs but leaves no room for luxuries like online gaming? You really do need to try thinking a bit before opening your traps.

I'm 16 so I can't work anywhere, at least not legally. My parents won't pay my month fees anymore, if it wasn't for the fact that internet is so important for my studies, they probably wouldn't pay the Internet either. I thank my good friend ex-CEO Hellcross for lending me ISK to pay a GTC for "my" alt (that belongs to my cousin). I'm lucky I got to the point where I can make enough ISK to pay GTCs before my parents could no longer pay the month fees. This player could be in a similar situation. So how about you guys grow up and stop being so stupid? Sure, he may be a scammer, but he also might not to be.
